Samsung and Mastercard are working on a fingerprint payment card

Recommended Posts

Quote

Samsung is collaborating with Mastercard on a biometric scanning payment card with a built-in fingerprint reader, Samsung has announced. The technology appears to be similar to Mastercard's biometric payment cards unveiled in 2017 that let you authenticate purchases with without ever touching a keypad. However, Samsung said the cards "will adopt a new security chipset from Samsung’s System LSI Business that integrates several key discrete chips," rather than using Mastercard's current tech.

Hope you aren't someone who works with your hands and injures your prints. I've had so many issues with fingerprint recognition because I work on everything DIY I can, but mostly my vehicles.

I think I've owned Samsung Phones for going on 10 years now. It has improved, but I messed up my thumb 2 months ago and had to swipe up for a few days and manually input my code. It was dreadful... ?
