@BWG when you get a chance, adjust my points and multi. I turned on the Vega 64 just after I posted last night. I'm using it at 50% power to keep the house from heating up so much and it's still pumping out 800k ppd.

I have officially corrected the GPU, re-multiplied the work units dropped, and applied the new points based on the correct multiplier for @damric.

 

The new multiplier I calculated was 5.37. My apologies for the delay.

I am going out of town for a few days so I dialed my Vega 64 up to +50% power limit from -50%. Finishing strong!

So I decided it was time to upgrade to win10, because I'm tired of games not liking win7 anymore. 

 

well win10 has other ideas, and nothing I can do will get the installer to boot.  so I started looking at what I could build to replace my X58 build - (by the way my current dual socket 1366 ESXi host runs win10 on bare metal just fine)

 

I happen to think the EPYC 75F3 is great. so does the threadripper pro team, because they have one half price called the TRP 3975x.  only $2500! add a FirePro W6800 and I can have an all AMD build (because if you go to the 5950x page, and click on the dell alienware aurora https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-5950x

anyways a TRP build would cost something like $3500 if I don't upgrade my GPU, PSU or or case (GPU? in this market? HA!)

 

so what's my other option? 

 

well, I could install a hypervisor on my current rig and pass my GPU through to a VM.  that'll cost me the price of a flash drive to install ESXi on.

Michele is pissed about the power bill. No more Vega 64 folding (well unless * breaks again).

 

Next month I will fold on my GTX 750 since I can run that OC'd with very little juice. I know you will have to switch around the AMD/Nvidia/Wildcard slots.

Already having hardware trouble. Every time I come back it's been crashed. I've been helping with hurricane repairs for my buddies in Louisiana so I do not have time to troubleshoot my etf rig. I moved the card to an empty slot in my main rig as a bandaid measure and set it to fold at stock. Hopefully I'll get some time this week to delve into this further.

In other news, I'm planning on switching my folding rig to W10 and changing my 980/960 combo to my pair of 1070 Tis, with my ETH card to change accordingly. Already PM'd @BWG.

 

EDIT: Also went ahead and updated the OP with @damric's upcoming hardware changes since we're already in that sort of limbo, it seems. Will update again once I have my stuff swapped around.

@Supercrumpet What OC you running? Lars puts your card at 280k PPD, but at your current pace, i'm calculating you over 1 million PPD roughly for today. How is that possible? Even I can't keep up with 6.5 million drops every 5-6 hours. With a 40% OC, I am at just about double my all OS average of 110k, 220k PPD currently. You are getting 4x your daily PPD? Did you find out how to secretly get those COVID moonshots again and aren't telling anyone?

He's running the BWG wanted 4 days off oc on his fake 960 which is now a 1070ti. I have fixed his stats.

I had to delete the points, delete the users, and then re-add them due to not being able to just switch the category, so the daily stats won't be accurate historically for this month, but they will be going forward. I added back the total points accumulated month to date for each user. This should make their category stats totals proper though.

I've been working on getting my cheap asf water cooled test bench back online over the last week. Success!

 

 

Even the Radeon HD 7850 is working. In the future I might switch back to that. For now I'm going to feed the LARS database some stock 860MHz numbers.

 

It looks like my GTX 750 is finally starting to shine, as it just overtook @BWG in the wildcard category, despite sitting out the first week. I think there's also something like a 40% OC on that card, but only at like 40W board power, so I'm pretty happy with that, even though it can barely finish a work unit every couple days

Oh and by the way @BWG, is my multiplier for the 1070 Ti set for Windows or Linux? It's OC'd and stable, running 24/7 since, but I'm lagging way way behind on ETF points. I haven't done the math to see if that change would make the difference, but I thought I'd ask just in case.
