Welcome to the ExtremeHW Folding Competition, Thursday October 28th - 30th, 1 AM UTC (Wednesday October 27th - 29th, 9 PM EDT)

ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event.

 

In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below.

 

How to participate:

During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902
You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username.

Prizes:

Spotswood Tech Tray ATX/EATX (User Choice) shipped to US 48 - BWG - Winner = @axipher

$25 PayPal - Axipher - Winner = @nova4005

Folding Time Prizes:

24 hours on 1x 3080ti - <10 million daily avg. - firedfly - Winner = @tenchimuyo93

Excluded from Prizes:

All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username.  Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus.  Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that.  This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey.

Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners.

Fixed, although it will still show the results from the last one until the new one starts, I don't have anything setup to zero our the previous results after a certain time as the GSheets is perpetually using the same non-dated file from the stats file to fill itself so that we don't have to keep changing the GDocs link.

My god, it's over 7,000 watts right now.  It's 25C in the office with the door half way shut.  It was 19C this morning on the Ethereum Train.

Almost everything is online, one last card to add to a system.
I just came home and it's pretty warm inside, even with the windows slightly opened. I have no idea what I'm drawing at this moment, but it's expensive

I was trying to think of ways that would be really hard for someone to "win" and thought about just putting up my $25 prize as a drawn prize only between people whose submitted points are a prime number.

Not this time.  I'll be out of town and unable to manage them.  Also, @BWGis so crazy with his gpus, I'd have to spend $300+ in addition to my 32 million ppd in order to out fold him for the two days... And the win isn't guaranteed... That would just make it close

Unfortunately it seems like I'll be missing a large chunk of points by the end of the day. Internet at my apartment went out a little over 12 hours ago, and I have no idea when it'll be back, so no new WUs for either 2080 Ti.

Yeah, that stinks. I've had a few situations like that, so I actually have my Samsung Galaxy Book S hooked up to Verizon sharing a wifi hotspot 24/7 in the event that my main internet goes down. I know, it's a luxury, but it helped prevent a few losses of income on the mining side of things.
