I present to you guys, a run WITHOUT CHEATING and underclocking...... 😛

CPUz isn't reading the RAM correctly, AIDA is though.  DDR200 / 100MHz speed.  I CAN in theory downclock this chip as low as like 200MHz I think in BIOS.  Oldest one I have running so far, Pentium 3 era.

Battle of the one-cores, LOL. Is the voltage accurate on the T-Bird CPU, or is CPU-Z bugged reading that as well?

My MX-5 arrives today.......do I dare see if I can get a CPUz bench on Windows 98?  I'm not sure if it'll run, and I'd be kinda going out of order on these rigs I'm working on...... :lachen:

Once I get in gear tonight working on things, I'll see if I can do just that, and I'll do a quick K6 run.  If not, I wanted to test my Socket A builds anyway.  Wouldn't be hard to put XP on one of those.

Yeah, that's accurate, 1.80v is what's setup by default.  I could try to overclock it some, but meh, not worth it.

The ONLY reason I haven't run the K6 since I "talk, talk, talk"ed.......I don't have PS2 keyboard or mouse (well, the K6 needs AT keyboard and a serial mouse but I have adapters).  I thought I had some PS2 ones but alas, I don't. -_-

I have half the mind to track down a vintage Pentium II MMX system and challenge you to a dual.

You are correct I was keeping it open for you to run those rigs, but I've lost track of the original excel spreadsheets. Ill make one more search tonight. I had a NAS failure and lost my raid1 array. But some of that comp stuff was backed up elsewhere.

I could run another Socket 939 (another Opteron at 2.7GHz).  Otherwise, I'm kinda out of old rigs till I get the rest of the needed parts in and get my AGP cards repaired.

Playing around with the new toy, seems alright.

13900k @5.8ghz Pcores and 4.3ghz Gcores, 4800 cache and 6400mem. A lot of things are acting up in the bios though and Eleet is not working either, EVGA has some work to do..

Interested to know the hard limits on a chip like that. Are you going to try for max frequency at some point?

Thats a strong processor. Smokes my z840 with 72 threads like it's standing still!

Question: have you benchmarked CPUz with and without your e cores? Interested to see how much weight they can pull.

I will go for every limit, but for now it's just acting up so no point (or motivation).

This was just a dirty all auto kind of overclock (as many manual settings resulted in post failure), and I did some 3D benchmarks with those settings too. 60k CPU score in Fire Strike Extreme and 14k in Time Spy Extreme with 5.7ghz/4.3ghz

I did an 8P run too, and those ecores do some damage:

I have always found EVGA very responsive whenever I have emailed them about BIOS issues. If you haven't already, I would suggest to log in with your EVGA credentials and use one of the support links to list out the problems you're having, maybe take a couple of screenshots if that would be helpful, and let them know specifically what needs to be fixed.

I have canceled an order twice for 13900K/KF (one of each) to wait for the KS as well as letting the BIOS bugs get ironed out.

There have been reports already on their post about the new bios version, regarding memory issues, Eleet not working and what not so I'll wait for that to get fixed.
Not that I'm surprised, it's brand new.

By chance did you test a 13900K with the old BIOS to see how it worked?

Do you mean the latest bios pre 13th gen? If so, I didn't do that.
The only bios out there for 13th gen is the 2.01 (checked a minute ago), and that one has a few bugs and what not. I haven't had time to dive into it more, and I rather wait for a new one.

I was going to do that as well, but I was so impressed with @Avacado's results that that I ordered a 13900K from Newegg. I am faced with the same situation as @Bastiaan_NLthough, as we both will be/are using the same motherboard (the Z690 Dark). That's all kinda moot at the moment as I really need to get that Atlas II build finished to at least the point that it's up and running. So I'm going to focus on that now that I've moved that build to a cart that helps make that somewhat easier for me.

New bios was released today for the z690 Dark:

That said, hold off on doing any updates, they're going to release another update to fix a problem some people are having with updating using the USB port. See the EVGA z690 motherboard forum for more info (having trouble posting a link to it here).

I purchased one from Micro Center through a friend who lives near one. Got a 2-year Micro Center warranty and with USPS Priority Mail combine was still less than buying one from NewEgg. And, if the bin quality sucks I either get my money back within 15 day or swap it for a different CPU any time within that 2-year period.

FYI, we are all on the same board. I did not do ANY extensive testing with the 13900k after installing it. I literally installed, ran a quick CPUz bench, opened HWinfo and started F@H for the rest of the comp. Those frequencies that you saw on my screenshot were 100% auto. I did not mess with any settings. I am sure you could run 8P 6GHz no HT WITH Ecores active if you wanted.
