FYI, we are all on the same board. I did not do ANY extensive testing with the 13900k after installing it. I literally installed, ran a quick CPUz bench, opened HWinfo and started F@H for the rest of the comp. Those frequencies that you saw on my screenshot were 100% auto. I did not mess with any settings. I am sure you could run 8P 6GHz no HT WITH Ecores active if you wanted.

I'm on 8P with HT and Ecores now, 5.9/4.4.
It is 3dmark CPU benchmark stable, but it's pointless to do any benchmarking as long as I can't get any decent memory clocks. So 6ghz all core with 4.4 or 4.5 ecores doesn't sound too crazy 😄

I flashed v2.03 on my Dark KPE last night and it is working fine with the 12900K. Something about it did not play nice with my Winduhz 11 OS. All USB function was lost. Windows 10 LTSC 2019 and 2021, and Windows 7 were fine, but I had to clean install Winduhz 11 for some reason. I tried for several hours to fix it without success and finally gave up.

CPU and memory seem to function flawlessly. Not sure what the heck was wrong with the cancer OS. That was super weird, but it is weird and crummy by any other measurement anyhow.

New bios was released today for the z690 Dark:

That said, hold off on doing any updates, they're going to release another update to fix a problem some people are having with updating using the USB port. See the EVGA z690 motherboard forum for more info (having trouble posting a link to it here).

2.03 seems good for me. No issues I have found so far.

And proof that 2.03 is working, I've got my mem clock up and things are looking better now 😄

Looks like you were fortunate to get a good CPU sample. Based on casual observations, I think I got an average sample. I haven't decided whether to keep it or roll the dice on an exchange possibly turning out better. I am just getting started tinkering with mine and I don't know how far it can go on the chiller. 5.9GHz on P cores was surprisingly easy, so it will be fun finding out where the brick wall is for chilled water. If I decide to keep it I will delid it.

What are you using to cool yours?

Edit: I just noticed only 4 cores enabled, LOL. Maybe someday I will try that for CPU benchmarks. Cooling is probably much easier and it makes good sense for single-core and benchmarks that only take advantage of a few cores.

Thanks J 🙂
I've had this board for a while, I guess I never told you about it. I love it so much, it was a dream ever since I saw it for the first time and at some point a French friend offered to sell me his bnib board.

This is by no means a stable overclock though, just throw some clocks and vcore at it and see what sticks.
1.48 vcore for 6.3ghz running spi32m, external loop (bench frame), windows open.

Yeah, 4 cores is more than enough for SPI 😛

Though 3d benchmarking on 6.1/4.4 with some CPU load (time spi etc) is working too.
