A new rumour online says AMD will unveil its new Ryzen 7000 series processors sometime in Q3, 2022. AMD could announce it at Computex 2022 in late May, and the CPUs could hit shelves as early as July 2022.So far, the only next-generation AMD parts we've got a glimpse of are the Ryzen 6000 series Zen 3+ processors, which are centred around their shiny new RDNA2 iGPU. Interesting. I dragged my feet long enough on upgrading to a 5600X that my plan switched to a 12600k. If I drag my feet on that long enough, I could potentially be looking at team red again.

My problem is I have parts but the build dragged on so long I wish I waited on said parts. For example scored a 5600X early, but now MicroCenter has $450 5900X's.

Its a game that has been tough to win, with the shortages and scalping. I for one am sitting it out for a good while as no need for an upgrade right now. Though im still rooting for AMD to keep kicking ass with the 7000 series. Keep Intel honest haha.

Ever since Intel started locking down memory speeds for non K CPU's I have been rooting for AMD. Intel can have the performance crown and as long as there are still competitively prices CPUs from AMD it will be my preference for the foreseeable future. Intel could get me back if they had some CPUs with some really good OC headroom but that happens less and less these days.

Jokes aside, looking forward to Ryzen 7000.  I still need a proper upgrade, got this 3600 only because my Ivy Bridge died.  Was thinking 5800x, but now with 7000 coming later this year, hmmmm..........

 

Intel / AMD, doesn't matter to me.  I do like that AMD is more friendly towards keeping the same board through upgrades though.  That's a nice plus with them.

Well I have an X570 board, so at this point will just call my upgrade grabbing a 5900X or a 5800X3D if those pan out decent without thermal issues (which the 5800X already has being that the heat generating area is more dense then the other chips).
