Figured this was the best place to post this: 

 

Verified on Digikey site; received notice by way of email. Digikey's suggested substitute is not the same, nor does it's have the same specs/properties.

I'm not sure if the shelf life period refers to an opened tub (they seem vacuum-sealed), but it may be that the oils in the putty start either migrating or getting absorbed. Then again, this mostly refers to initial pliability, once applied, it will last much longer. In any case, I put the remaining 50g and the new 30g into a freezer bag and store it in the fridge (w/ warning label), rather than freezer. I have thermal TG-PP 10 thermal putty stored this way over a year old and it is still perfect, per recent use.
