  • UltraMega changed the title to Intel 12th gen CPU socket problems

Seems like a pretty big oversight from Intel, especially now that CPUs tend to put out a lot more heat due to having more cores and the need for good cooling solutions is so much greater. It's impressive how big of a difference the Thermal Grizzly bracket makes too.

I would still expect better than stock. No idea.  Did not want to pay 45$ usd + all the shipping and stuff.

Still thinking about the delid kit but am afraid that if i upgrade to a 13900k i may kill the chip. the 12700k cheap enough i don't care.

Maybe not breaking news, but the GN team did a great job of showing the details and explaining everything.

Steve is special, just like Jay or Linus.
If I'm tired I can't watch a full video of Steve without falling asleep, but I love what they are doing with all the details and testing.

A Linus video is nearly impossible to finish without going crazy, can't stand him 😂

And Jay, I'm a big fan!

Well if nothing else, a channel like Gamer's Nexus bringing this to a broader audience and maybe gets Intel to rethink their sockets a bit.

They're analysis is super detailed yet still easily digestible to a laymen. They did a great job on this video for sure.
