I had good luck with my USB sized computer from amazon. 4gb ram and z8350.  Kinda slow. I would not get less than a n4000 n5000 gen dual or quad core.

These are more than double the cost of a Raspberry Pi.

These are neat, but to be perfectly honest I'm a lot more interested in AMD's low power offerings these days.  My 2500u laptop still rocks along absolutely fantastically, and the Steam Deck is getting rave reviews just about everywhere.

 

Regardless, @Diffident is correct about the price.  The point of the Pi is that its stupid low cost (not anymore lately, but used to be).

The amd offering are 10x better than the Intel one. Performance of those low power intel Atom/Celeron is so bad.

 

Aliexpress is a good source of mini computer i love to look at the offering. Would make a perfect server if they could handle 64/128gb ram

Price is an issue. And having a completely different layout. So you would need a custom case. I wonder why they didn't go with USB-C for power input.
