The first products to utilize the new architecture will be the fourth-generation family known as the Loongson 3A6000 which is said to offer performance on par or better than Intel's Willow Cove and the AMD Zen 4 desktop CPUs. The company reiterated that it has completed the design & the CPUs are already in the production phase with the first samples rolling out in the first half of 2023. The actual launch seems to take place around mid of 2023.

China's chipmaker, Loongson, has said that its next-gen CPUs are ready for production & rival Intel Tiger Lake & AMD Zen 3 mainstream chips.

Some competition is always good! 🔥 Wonder how overclocking will be?

Competition is usually good, unless it's from China. Wonder how much stolen IP from Intel and AMD these things have. I'm guessing it's a lot.

China is releasing canadian EV at like 1/2 of the cost of competitor. Yea they steal patent and stuff. But it pull the market down price wise. Sure National Security wise it a bad thing but the government is not doing anything about the 4000 brand of cellphone on amazon either.

Yea it brings down prices in the same way stealing products from a store and then selling them cheaper in the parking lot would. A country without IP protections will see all the top engineers and inventors move away to places that will respect their work.

In the US, Chinese phones are banned. I used to have one, had to get a different phone.

Oh well not canada. There alot less avalaible but you can still get some model and aliexpress ship worldwide.

IP protection is the reason we pay 500k for a cancer treatment that cost 2k. Same for high end cloth that are made in india but branded for 3k.

As much as i respect engineer and inventor as much as am exhausted of scam.  Just happened in canada. We have some medical treatment that jumped from 10k years to like 400k $$ Because the Patent owner decided so.

IP has little to do with American health care costs. The reason that is so messed up is because of insurance and the for profit nature of American health care in general, and lots of other reasons, but not because of intellectual property laws.

I thought health care was free in Canada?

If you spent years and a lot money inventing a really cool product that you patent and hoped to earn a living selling, how would you feel if some chinese knockoff of your product started selling for half the price.

We would be better off if we made an effort to not buy products made in China.  We could enrich our own economies by being producers instead of only being consumers...plus it could have national security implications if China continues to swallow up the world's manufacturing ........why we continue to enrich the CCP I'll never know.  Have a little pride in our own countries and stop buying their junk.

We can't afford living without exploiting other People/Country there a reason why FOXCONN is the biggest manufacturer in the world. We can't make product as cheap with the labor cost here it would be 4x more expensive.

It sad but it true 😞
