Installed a lite windows 11 os and its windows defender is missing yet present, how to fix?

Antivirus are completly worthless 99% of time. Never used them in 15 years + Until windows 11 that made removal of defender a big headache.  They removed it to save cpu power. Atom and celeron processor struggle with defender running in the background it scan everything that startup.

 

I think Malwarebyte as realtime protection for free if you really want something.

You can download MS Defender via the MS Store

You mean tiny11?   Saw it was pretty nice but still had defender.

It may be possible to re-enable Win Defender using the attached scrip in Powershell. 

 

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage

Ill try your solutions soon, thanks.  Its present since it keeps deleting my files but wont let open defender to restore or add exclusions.

 

I may just restore all and add exclusions via shell command.  Since i tried defender from microsoft store no dice and commands report files missing errors.
