wow damric thanks for that! Do you think i will need to contact Leeghoofd from HWbot with this?

@leeghoofd well he's on our forum, our discord, HWBOT forum, and HWBOT discord and usually communicates very quickly. I would explain that it's just a typo mistake by the manufacturer.

Sorry for my absence here, demanding project at work and rising temperatures keep me from doing anything productive.
It seems like there are some tweaks which actually work but I haven't tried any of it. As for hard modding, on most cards it's doable. Maybe @Avacado wants to mod your card @damric because I modded his card 😛
The controller on my Toxic is still not supported by the EVC2, so that one is not ready yet. The Club3d card has shitty mem but at least the voltmods are working. I've got some baseline results but didn't bother to upload them right at the start. Maybe I should just freeze that card right away 🤔

I might have to rerun these. i saw in the screenshots that the guy in first place is using a sort of LOD utility mod. I think it's allowed, too.

It is allowed and the guy in first knows what he's doing. I expect a lot more of those runs, a few on cascades and maybe dice. Not sure if LN2 will make a difference, they were talking about negative scaling with mem frequency on these.

I don't know what I'm doing but I'll just crack a few cold ones and see what happens 😂

I'll wait to do any actual subs until we're all in discord so I can try to avoid bad subs that will get thrown out for me being stupid

Not like that's ever happened before 😅

Alright, got my 6850 ran.  Placed 10th (so far) in Heaven and Firestrike, and 9th on Vantage.  Probably won't keep those places as that's all this poor card has in it without a vmod.  Was fun ruining my install for a few hours of benching though!  :wheee:

Unfortunately no.  Extended clocks seem to be working, but voltage control was a no go.  Best I could get was 950 core, 960 would crash it.  GPU was peaking at a whopping 54*C core under load, so wasn't really a temperature thing.  Definitely needed more vcore.

That's the asus directcu model? It should have voltage control. Might need to use asus smart doctor but good luck finding a file for that. An older version of afterburner might work though.

I used the latest version, but from what I remember it can be hit or miss with various versions against various cards.

Someone also gave me this extreme version of Afterburner which I will try next week. Supposedly it can possibly exceed 1.3v. We'll see.

Usually the heat doesn't bother me, but it's been especially nasty with almost 100% humidity coming off of the Gulf of Mexico. The pet dogs don't even want to go for walks. They just want to lay on the floor in the air conditioning.

Ok so I could not get Afterburner Extreme version working properly, probably due to Windows 10.

An old version of Trixx allows up to 1.5v but it crashed as soon as I changed anything and pressed apply. No idea.

I don't think the LOD mod worked for me either. I've never used it before so I dunno.

I did have success running from Radeon RAMdisk but it did not change my score enough to bother submitting.

If anyone wants this card I'll send it to you. Competition ends July 15th.

With Trixx it's hit or miss, at least that's what I hear on the hwbot discord. I never tried it myself.
Elmor is working on the controller of my Toxic, let's hope he can get it to work in time. He bought a card which should have the same controller as mine, but sadly it was different.
1.3v is good for 1070mhz core in Heaven, after that it's a nice disco 😄

This one was actually caused by memory, but too funny not to share:

I don't remember if I showed you guys but this is the reference card and accelero cooler I put on it. The stock VRAM/VRM heat sink fit under there no problem.

Got some scores on the board with the Sapphire card, but based on the heavy green snow artifacts, it's probably not gonna last long or take much more abuse... Conveniently, have two other 6850s 😂

Next in line to get fluxxxed up is the Asus card. @Bastiaan_NL helped me figure out the controller and how to mod this thing, so I soldered it up and will see how she does.

image.thumb.jpeg.d9b96d25b4f38e74b48778edd5b7fd75.jpeg

Soldering this was a challenge. I bridged a connection the first try, but think I got it... Yes I went nuts with the hot glue to keep everything from moving around.

image.thumb.jpeg.ad325e12e13f5b741e8e7efd5254f923.jpeg

Thought it would look slick to pass the wires through this hole and it worked out well. Again shot nice load of hot glue on it just to be safe.

image.thumb.jpeg.242ef573aa7ff856aae39e6037f3933d.jpeg

That hole wasn't used for cooler mounting so I can still pop the stock cooler on to test before I swap the waterblock over.

Yesterday I picked up the 3D printed brackets for the cascade to mount on a few different GPU's.
Here is a test fit on the HD6850. This one has EVC2 voltage control so I can properly blow it up 😂

I'm also gonna test windows 8.1 with driver 13.12 on x570/5800x instead of w7 on z690. Hopefully with some better results.
