Well-known PC hardware manufacturer, EVGA, seems to be quitting the PC business as reports cite that all employees have resigned.

This is horrible news. I consider myself lucky to have quite a few EVGA hardware pieces.

EVGA hasn't made any official announcements yet, but the writing's on the wall (EVGA Withdraws from the Motherboard Market?) over at the EVGA forums.

Yeah, me2. I still have a couple of their MBs and video cards myself.

I hope not, their GPUs were some of the best on the market, as are their PSUs. It's already a shame they've pulled out of the GPU market. It wouldn't be good if they pulled out of PC hardware entirely.

The GPU loss was bad enough, while I am not all that fussed about there motherboards, It would suck if they pulled out of the PSU market. I love my EVGA PSU. My RTX 3090 is EVGA, when it comes to upgrading that somewhere down the line it already sucks I cannot replace it with another EVGA.

 

If they did decide to pull out of the PC market, then surely that is EVGA closed altogether? I am not aware they have business in other sectors.

Yeah I was really bummed when I learned they pulled out of the GPU market!  For many years now I have only bought EVGA video cards and PSUs.

 

They had the reputation of the best service and warranties too.

I don't think this is surprising news. GPUs were the bulk of their business, so without those it makes sense that they need to shrink considerably. If that means they are also leaving the motherboard and PSU space, then I don't know. What else do you have at that point.

 

Bad news all around. Wish I bought more EVGA stuff throughout the years.
