OLED pixel refresh question

Hi guys. I have a 77" LG CX series OLED TV for modern (and some not so modern) gaming and console gaming as well as home theater.

My question is simple: we've had the TV since June 2021, so that's two years of owning it.

In the menu for the TV there is a pixel refresh option. I am wondering if I should use it or not? The picture quality and brightness and color are all okay and I haven't really noticed a difference compared to when we first got it. There aren't any dead or stuck pixels that I can see...

Do I need to do a pixel refresh or not?

Thanks in advance.

  • Solution

If you don't have any issues, then you don't need to run it manually. It will run on its own after every 2000 hours (IIRC) of accumulated usage.

I've got a 55" C9. I ran the refresh manually just once to clear up some image retention. Otherwise I have let it handle the refresh automatically.
