Oh yea that true man. I can decrease clock and or tdp.

Just removed my rx 580.

Seem like am the only one having amd driver problem. Both my rx 580 and 5700xt wont spin up the fan on the default profile and just sit at idle and move 1200-1300 rpm max.

Just set my 5700xt at 50% fan speed for 60celsius folding a 2060mhz clock.

Damn i rmaed my rx 580 thinking it was hardware bug 6 month ago.

Any idea guy? Red team driver are made by monkey!

My first go to when I ever get issues like this is to completely removed the driver software and AMD software related to the GPU with DDU, remote MSI Afterburner including any files or registry entries it leaves behind. The re-install the latest driver (or driver you know is good) from AMD and re-install the latest version of MSI afterburner. So many times have I found it is usually a driver that has had a hiccup somewhere that causes all these little but really annoying issues.

Seconding this. There have been quite a few cases of some weird issue that may or may not actually be obviously GPU-related. I'll just update or reinstall GPU drivers and the issue is fixed. It's a great fix to try, and it doesn't take long either.

Thank you for the help going to try ddu and to uninstall msi afterburner. I always had that kind of problem with amd gpu for some reason my 7950 would go mad if hwinfo64 was running and get stuck in 2d clock.

Thank for the advice Bastiaan Just downclocked to 1300mhz 1.0v and -50% tdp for a 100w folding usage on my 5700xt.

I totally agree with the drivers being the cause of many problems.

Reinstalling the drivers did not fix my issues though, MSI Afterburner was still not doing its job (wonky fancontrol, downclocking, vcore not adjustable etc.

Turns out I wasn't the only one with the 5700xt having problems with software.

I already removed the AMD control software right after installing the cards.

Decided to reinstall the software and it works, clocks are locked and stable, and the fans do what I tell them :)

Thanks for sharing, their is always something you need to remove and re-install, a little like turning it off and on again lol.

The case arrived a couple of days ago! :) Will hopefully find some time soon to throw a build together with it. I have a 2 month old so will need to sneak in parts between feedings/sleepings, lol.

Are there rules to upload jpg's here? I tried uploading a jpg attachment but wouldn't let me. Guess I would need a certain number of posts?

Glad it arrived with you safely, will be interesting to see what you pop inside it. Ouch yeah a 2 month old can be a time sucker, this build may take you a while lol. As for the image uploads, please use the red camera icon to the top right of the editor. We disable image uploads through the attachments manager as it uses an inferior image optimizations. We in the future are hoping to make some changes to this area.

Dang, I missed this one. #Sadface. I joined the forums too late to participate. Pretty sure I was in the 20th anniversary compo though.

Silver lining, only took 2 years to get the badge for this 8D
