Supposedly a few degrees difference from the NH-D15 which is enough for me to upgrade because I'm not going watercooling anytime soon.

I like that there is still enough space for improvement and i like as well the approach of them that first they make some runns and sells of the brown version and if everything goes well the  they release the black one…

but as wrote already, cant wait for realtime testing and reviews :wheee:

Ah, didn't catch that.  I'll wait for the Chromax version but I look forward to whatever progress can be made for those of us still using air cooling.  That said, much like you I've never had a single product or fan from Noctua fail and they all run like they did day one.

Oh, wow. It's actually real!

Will definitely be picking one of these up after reviews etc. I'll stop air cooling when I'm dead.

For the best. It's an addiction with questionable returns on performance for money spent these days outside some outliers.

But I'm still gonna do it. Send Help. ðŸ˜‚

its a nice cherry on the top if you dont mind the collor scheme and the price tag.... Otherwise i would not go for it..  im kind of a TR fan and yes buy better fans - slap them on a TR and you will be 1/2 of the noctua price tag and call it a day :happy_clap::excited_w00tbrows:

Pragmatically, I agree. Outside of budget, you have to admit that there is no other supplier like Noctua in the PC space which can offer that level of engineering, build quality (tolerances), and validation / longevity testing.

I added 3 of their fans 120mm fans to my rad a couple years ago and couldn’t be happier.

Excited for the case fan / square frame variant of the A14x25 fans. All for the brown theme fans but it would be nice to buy a black heatsink with standard fan colours.

As a counter point, I have 9 Arctic P12s on an external rad that I bought when I was on a tighter budget. Expected that I'd have to replace them in a couple years... It's been about 5 and they are still running great.

Meanwhile the last Noctua A12x25 I bought needs to be RMA'd. I should have just returned it to Microcenter when I first got it since it seemed louder than the others I have, and now it's gotten worse.

Yes, exactly. I dont want to assume Flux has the same issue but when I swapped over to Noctua fans for my rad (just in push), I get that Schwebung. I originally had no idea it was a known phenomena. Nearly 2 years ago, I thought could be my original fan splitter, extension cable, potentially with increased resistance for one fan. I swapped it and there was a placebo effect. I thought it was gone but nope, it's still there.

I havent tried running one fan at 200rpm lower (since they're all on the same header, splitter) but it's worth a try. Either way, I got used to it but originally it was annoying AF.

it is common with every fan, the only difference is then the RPM when you hear it with a specific fan..

But have you tried to add there an spacer to the fan? this yould affect as well the result, having the fan farther from the rad 😉

I have seen that before as well, but this one fan is actually just faulty. The other Noctua that's right next to it is rock solid. When I first installed it I thought it might just be some resonance and dropped the RPM a bit lower on that fan. Didn't think anything of it until the fans ramped up a bit more than usual. (ambient temp in the office with multiple rigs running gets into the mid 80s during the summer).

In my case, this one fan is just out of balance. You can see the whole blade assembly wobbling on the hub. Noise wise, it's only annoying at higher RPM which this system rarely sees anyway. It will wreck the bearing and only get worse being out of balance. If it were a $5 fan I'd just toss it, but being a Noctua, it's worth taking a couple minutes to fill out the RMA form.
