Zen 5 issues: Ryzen 9000 CPUs reportedly suffered development troubles as bugs like flawed core parking

The Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 CPUs appear to have had a troubled development and have been released in a half-baked state according to a new leak. This could be the reason why the CPUs are failing to perform as advertised and seem to be plagued with software issues like improper core parking.

It is possible some performance can be clawed back once AMD gets it together with their software and works with Microsoft on OS to CPU behaviour.

I think it will be worth media outlets rechecking benchmarks once the dust settles.

Shouldn't have even launched yet. What was the point? Intel has been mired in controversy with 13th and 14th gen, along with their quarterly financial woes. What incentive did AMD have to release in such a sorry state.

You can sure count on AMD to muck things up with product launches. Not the first time, won't be the last time.

The problem is that the damage is already done. This is why rushed product releases do more harm than good. AMD No Man's Skyed themselves. Also, if the Moore's Law is Dead leak is true that the Zen 2 team that got put in charge of Zen 5 worked off of their old codebase rather than Zen 4's, there are some bigger idiots in that company than I thought.

Correct, the damage has been done and that is hard to recover from for this generation BUT if media outlets can show it's fixable through software corrections, AMD can claw something back. I agree, if AMD's guys used such an old codebase....well dummies lol

I was just listening to the latest DF video and they mentioned something about Zen 5 that I hadn't heard before.

Apparently the latency going from CCD to CCD on Zen 5 is about double what it is on Zen 4, so add that to the list of issues.

Heard and saw the latency charts for that a couple days ago. And yeah....something is very wrong imo.
