Crysis Remastered brings a major graphical overhaul to the original Crysis which was launched in 2007 and was known for its high system requirements. Crysis Remastered introduces new graphic features and high-quality textures along with API-agnostic ray tracing for PC. The game features updated textures with up to 8K resolution, Global Illumination (SVOGI), state-of-the-art depth of field, new light settings, and motion blur effects. The game is set to feature an 8K "Can it Run Crysis" mode which will challenge even the highest-end PC hardware.

Crysis Remastered is coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, PS4, and Xbox One on 18th September 2020. You can find the "Crysis Remastered - Official 8K Tech Trailer" in full 8K 60FPS down below.

I think Flight Sim turned out a lot better than this one did though. Only major complaint about it that I heard was people that wanted to refund felt a bit cheated since their first two hours were spend downloading the game with the launcher open, but iirc exceptions were made. Crysis on the other hand has lots of issues with the game itself.

After seeing the digital foundry video on the performance of the game, I'm pretty disappointed. It looks like all they did was move the AI to it's own cpu thread and almost nothing else as far as optimization and the results leave it still being a poorly threaded game. Increasing the LOD values really hammers single threaded performance when that should have been multi-threaded. There are also a few visual "upgrades" that look worse than before like certain texture changes that are higher res yet look worse. There is also no mod/SDK support which is a real bummer for me because I was planning to try making a newer version of my Crysis mod "Crysis super powers mod 2".

I can't even run this trailer at 8K because it decodes on the CPU in Vivaldi, Chrome and Firefox with HW Acceleration enabled on all of them. I don't know why it does that.

I think youtube won't show you higher resolution options if it thinks you don't have the bandwidth for it actually.

My uncle lives in the same town and he has the same connection.
Meanwhile, in my area it took them 10 years to put fibre.

500/200 is enough for me.

That sucks. We've had FTTB/FTTH here since 2007 or something. Literally the only good thing about this damn country.

We will be getting FTTP in the next year or so which will give close to 1Gb...but not yet.
