Finally got a tracking number for my SuperCool Computer stuff:

 

 

@Mr. FoxI had problems with the linked DHL number in the email so I used DHL's tracking instead.

That is great news. I still do not have my tracking info yet. I have asked for it. Since I received a reply on Friday that DHL would have it later that evening, I waited until Monday and asked where the tracking number is.

 

Did they update your order on the web site or send you an email with the tracking number? How did you receive it?

They sent me an email. I also just checked their web site and it reflects that it's been shipped:

 

 

Also had access to the lengthier shipping notification in the web site, which included the DHL tracking number.

It's I'm not as bad as it I look(s)   They (Amazon) just seem to be screwing up more and more lately; and they're definitely not getting any cheaper 

 

I'd hold Bezos accountable, but he probably wouldn't give a rat's rear orifice.

Anyway, more wip, shortened the cables on the radiator fans so they'd work well with the DeWire pcbs I'm using; mounted the fans; mounted the rads.

 

 

 

 

 

I'll split the radiator fans into two channels; one for each loop.

That last picture.  Everything so crisp.  F'ing beautiful.  You know someone is a "craftsman" when their cable comb work is that neat and precise.

Does your source for cable combs have any for the Nvidia 12-pin? Finding my 12-pin to dual 8-pins adapter a bit unwieldy with regards to the individual cables.

Thanks! But I honestly don't think of myself as that much of a craftsman as let's say someone like (e.g.) @LiquidHaus (not sure if he's an active member here), but I do try. I think the anal in me that might appear ocd-like comes from my more recent years doing technical writing. That said, I do have ~45 years experience working with electronics, with much of that being hands-on, fairly high tech. I'm talking more about how things work though; and not so much about how they look.

More stuff showed up (the three look real enough; and a couple of matt black 360 radiator grills for the Atlas II build):

 

 

Also, had to reach out to moddiy for a replacement. The FEP wire they sent me is 18AWG, not the 16AWG I ordered. They're going to rush a replacement to me.

added rad grills to top radiators;

added di-noc stickers to all fan hubs;

finished wiring for 12VDC from fuse block to all rad fans;

finshed wiring for 12VDC from fuse block  to D5 pumps;

finished connecting pwm & speed signal wiring from all rad fans to OCTO;

finished connecting pwm & speed signal wiring from D5 pumps to OCTO.

So I was finally able to finish the overview article I did and handed it off to E for review, editing, what have you. He's swamped at the moment, and probably will get to it sometime later this week:

 

 

Now it's back to my own wip, which currently includes using black hot wax to secure cables, as well as completing psu power runs for an Aquaero 6LT, an OCTO, a Hubby 7, and a Farbwerk 360. Then it's time to figure out where I need to stick temp sensors, flow meters, etc., and run the cabling for them, and install the basics to allow for the QD hookup of the two MORA420s and its accompanying control panel. Fittings and hardline plumbing inside the Atlas II will probably be held off to last.

Thanks. That PCB is just provisions for fusible 12VDC. Right now the two banks of fans and the two pumps are connected to  it.

Working on putting together a sleeved 24pin ATX cable now, which presents a bit of a conundrum:

• the filter cap on the 12VDC line;
• and the twisted triplet (pwr good, +5 Stdby, and gnd).

On the one hand I could just ignore them both like most cable modders do; but being of sound electronics fundamentals I realize the purpose they serve. It's only one cap though which I could move closer to the 24 pin plug and package somewhat neatly. That twisted triplet though makes me wonder just how much crosstalk that combination of wires might create when untangled. 

 

Anyway, I think I've got some of those 470 µF 16 V caps in my spares.

Maybe the best approach for the 24-pin would be to use an extension and shorten the wires to be only as long as the visible portion and then neatly bundle the original 24-pin cable out of sight. You could also shorten the original 24-pin and bundle all of the wires into a round bundle and use a large sleeve to cover the round bundle of 24 wires so that you are not trying to hide a long cable mess.

I hear ya, but I've only got inches to play with and really don't need an extension. I'm thinking that the crosstalk in question might just be minimal given the length of the wiring involved, which I could probably check using an oscope. If my ocd were to really get to me (it likely won't, unless an (e.g.) oscope proved otherwise), I could always use the shielded wire approach instead of the twisted pair/triplet method. That way I could still sleeve the cable AND add a few cable combs.
