Somewhat OT, but I am already working on the SPOILER BBCODE again so that it does no wrap everyline with the dotted lines, I know it is somewhat ugly, so I am working on a solution for that one

The Belgian GP was ruined for me by Reddit as well as the F1 YouTube page (don't subscribe to them if you care about spoilers). What I will say, is that the race wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Still a good race though, much better than France.

Yeah, it's extremely difficult to avoid spoilers for F1 these days, especially since they have had a much larger social media presence since Bernie was replaced. If I miss a race, I basically have to avoid the entire internet. I've even seen spoilers on my new tab page on my phone from Google's recommended news articles. Reddit and YT are the worst though, since big news/posts on r/formula1 commonly make it to r/all, and race highlight videos usually end up trending on YT.

Didnt they reduce the RPM limit by a few hundred in some years prior? Like V10 period

No idea. They're geared are/were 380 km/h so it could be done without gearing issues if it hasn't changed. It does seem like it has changed for 2019, a lot of the cars seem to be on the RPM limit at top speed in 8th.

I think they actually stay something like 1500-2000 RPM away from the regulated limit because it's just not fuel inefficient.

Not a Ferrari fan, but really happy with the result and happy for Charles. Not sure what to make of Vettel, I think in the back of my head I assumed he was more in shape than last year since there's much less title pressure. I suppose that may not be entirely true. Happy for Albon.

Grosjean is a liability. He's basically Maldonado, but he doesn't even have the occasional good race.

 

His only entertainment factor is the fact he plants it in the armco every now and again. But, even then, Maldonado did it in more spectacular fashion.

 

 

F1 need to push the US Government to reduce economic sanctions on Venezuela, so that PDVSA have enough green to sponsor Maldonado again. Then, buy out Grosjean's seat.

All I'll say is that was a fantastic quali session for Singapore. Looking forward to the race tomorrow.

Another good quali this week. It's a shame the track is terrible. I'm hoping the race tomorrow is going to be better than last week though. Most of the Singapore race was boring and it went on for way too long.
