PassMark rates all kinds of stuff, but the important denominators are single and multi-threaded results. Granted, it's indicative and nothing more, but if a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU already takes the lead, then we can expect something good. The single-threaded results chart reaches a proper 3495 points, which is the fastest CPU for 1T workloads, even faster than the Core i9-10900K at 3177 points. Ryzen 5 5600X is a six-core part rated at 65 Watts with a 3.7 GHz base and 4.6 GHz boost clock.

Given analyst opinions on INTEL problems, at leas until mid 2021.

Intel have some deep digging to do and quickly, assuming they don't want to sit in second place for too long. Love that the underdog is coming back BUT as always we need competition to keep prices in order, does us no good if AMD were to easily hold the crown.

Yeah it does feel good to see Intel get their come-up-ins (now Nvidia please). But like you said, it will not benefit the consumer in the long run if it's just a pendulum swinging from one company dominating to the other for years at a time. We need innovation, technology, and performance competition from both camps which will lead to pricing competition as well and in this the consumer benefits with better products at better prices.

Personally I enjoyed watching Intel get knocked down a peg or two just due to the shear price gouging...when AMD busted out Zen 2 they were dropping some of their SKU prices by almost 50%....and they were still banking lol. We obviously just dont want to see AMD unchallenged so we have to go through it all with Team Red lol
