Hmmm, I'll have to watch this one.......  Depending on the generation of "retro", I might be interested in doing some hardware torture.  You know, for the ummmmm, "sake" of performance.  Yes.  Not copyright infringing. :D

I don't think it's 100% decided yet, but 2004ish era Intel CPUs, probably Pentium Ds.

Awwww, so I'd be out of the running if I got a 939 Athlon x2 huh?  I'll have to see if I can scrounge up a decent 775 board while I'm searching then too.  I have a couple z68's, guess it wouldn't hurt anything to pick up a p35 or p45 board to have on hand.
