  1. It was the first thing I had in mind when I ordered that AC unit, happy it worked. Still not as good as that phase cooler, that's way cooler Yeah, it depends on how much hardware you have though and what kinda cars you are into. I don't think I've spent as much money on cars as I did on hardware
  2. Yeah, it's one of those common lines they teach kids. So I guess he saw you as a kid too Bant.
  3. @Mr. Fox That's a nice result! 750W is a bit too hot for my cooling solutions though.. After a little modification I'm able to cool down a 3070Ti to 10°C idle and 45°C load on air. Temperature sensor is in the exhaust airflow now, so it just doesn't shut off.
  4. Gold I think it was Steve from GN telling a similar story about the origin of his dewar.
  5. Why do we always need to work... Would have been so much fun messing around together with those pots! I bet I could learn a thing or 2 (read: a few million) from you Ha, I almost clicked Tip me instead of multi quote But with a pot you could move away from your rival...
  6. I might have forgotten to specifically request it Second RMA is approved, and specifically requested a rev 1.0. I know the AC stops cooling at around 16°C, though that's a lot better than the usual temps here. I did a few runs on the 2080Ti system, managed to get the card to idle at around 16°C with the AC blowing directly at the radiator. Phase coolers are awesome, but I'll stay away from that for now Thanks to @Avacado I managed to bump up my score by a lot. Still not where I want to be, and lots of stuff we need to investigate. Pretty clear that the Core clock matters a lot here (sometimes only loading the GPU's for 60%).
  7. Maybe, but I'd prefer if the avatar would be a GTX580 on fire instead of an ASUS X299 Sage/10G board
  8. Enough power in that wall socket (16A 230V), but it produces a nice flow of warm air Biggest issue is the 1 slot space in-between the cards. AC unit is on the way for some "air cooled" benchmarks. Sadly they are both still rev 0.1, pulling 160W combined from the pcie slots.. So I'm afraid to use anything other than the stock bios, I don't want to start a fire with the x299 board
  9. Needs better cooling and a decent CPU overclock to be higher up the rankings... Still nice to finally have the 2 cards linked https://hwbot.org/submission/4923057_
  10. Congrats with 1 billion points @franz
  11. Thanks for your submission @notyettoday Added to the spreadsheet
  12. Should be enough for a card or two..
  13. They deserve their own special place, adding them here would make the name so complicated. Added to the sheet, can't wait to see some pics from your first WC build
  14. His inbox is full of spam, needs to clean it up more often Good thing I helped the other teams a hand by having the 3060 offline for a few hours. Fingers crossed it's fixed now...
  15. That's not a lot of powerdraw. On my most recent play time with the 3080Ti I managed to draw a maximum of 457w, never seen that before. 3090 was upper 440w before it started crapping itself. After that it maxed out at 380w Folding related, the first card is switched back to EHW. I don't like 0's on the EOC page.. Had some trouble with the workstation, seems like it was driver related. Because of the ETF I never took the system offline to update the drivers, where the other 3 systems are running the latest drivers. It showed the following in device manager: Code 31, this device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device, fingers crossed that it's nothing else..
  16. I could help you with that... I'd pay for one card and shipping, just because
  17. Updated, and thanks Now I need to find some Classified or FTW cards myself for some overclocking fun...
  18. Just curious, what kinda power does your FE draw for a result like that? Did you share it on HWBOT too? (I searched for paperclip but it gave me an error)
  19. We can go on for hours like this.. @firedfly congrats with your 5 billion points milestone!
