  1. Well, this system is still being used, adjusted from time to time and waiting for the PSU box. My brother in law was at a birthday a few days ago and mentioned it himself, so I hope he'll start working on it soon There are a few updates, and I'll show what it looks like at the moment: First of all, this is what the system looks like right now (the desk light really helps at night): The GPU's, from left to right: 3060, 3070Ti, 2080Super, 3080Ti. Soon the air cooled 3090 will join them: A new power strip, the cable from the old one was a bit warm with 5 GPU's pulling close to 2kWh.. (I thought I cleaned up the cables, but it still looks like a "rat's nest" ) An extra fan with a DimasTech FlexFan 140 mount to blow some air on the motherboard: New caster wheels, the old ones are plastic and smaller diameter which makes it hard to roll the system: I'm thinking about making a diamond plate between the bottom profiles so it has some sort of storage, maybe the sides and back too which will give it more of a cabinet look. The bottom is easy, the plate will rest on the caster wheel mounting plates. The sides and back will be a bit harder to attach. If the aluminium diamond plate is sandblasted it'll look almost the same as the profiles. That's it for now, the system is running great *knocks on wood* and has been a workhorse as far as folding, benchmarking/overclocking and testing/switching hardware goes.
  2. The idea of having a CPU with iGPU, an SSD with a "memory" partition on a Micro-ITX board sounds pretty practical to me
  3. Not sure if my wall socket will survive the powerdraw from that beast I've never seen that viral video until a moment ago, because I've seen those memes pop up everywhere not knowing what it was I had to look it up
  4. I did that a few times until I was tired and wrote the OC's down for every card I have (max oc, gaming, folding etc). A few days ago I added all the OC/benchmark results to a spreadsheet where I also keep track of power consumption, just an idea
  5. I think I'm a bit behind, so here are a few recent purchases: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060Ti XC: EVGA GeForce RTX 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra (sold the first one, got a new one from eu.evga.com): A complete system, this will all be installed in the SilverStone SUGO 14 Mini-ITX case I won with the ETF (most likely going to my nephew): GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX (M-ITX) AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF G.Skill 16GB DDR4-3200 Samsung 980 500GB SSD SilverStone DA650-G Now we only need to find a decent GPU... Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD for the main system: Belkin power strip for the workstation (3680w max): I think this is it, or most of it
  6. A little update/cleanup on the ETF system. I added the drops of inhibitor/biocides, cleaned the fan filters which were pretty clean (no dust in the case at all either), I added the ML120 fan to the radiator and added the EVGA RTX 3060Ti XC for now (temperature testing).
  7. Send him a PM, maybe he's like "why not?"
  8. I know how it goes, the "Tesla M40Ti" is looking at me like "Why don't you play with me?"
  9. Good to hear the modding worked out, those temps are great!! It's sad you had to mod it though, but it was worth it for sure. I've got way less experience with water cooling but I share that same feeling when starting a system for the first time. It's the same when I start a Diesel engine on a ship after a lot of work, I know I did my best but it still makes me nervous.
  10. Congrats @firedfly! I just noticed you are over 2 billion points, so I walked to my PC to type a reply but you beat me to it
  11. Thanks for the kind words @BWG, and thanks to @firedfly for his great effort and the random competition we are having which was never planned. Also a big thanks to everyone who joined the team or has been an active member and has been folding with us. 20 active members is awesome, and I hope more will join us both to help the F@H research and to grow the EHW forums.
  12. 4 billion points.... And 6 billion total:
  13. Well, that was easy... A bit stupid I didn't change that already, but now it's dark gray with red text. It's not so good looking that the sheet is stretched though, but I think that's not something I can fix.
  14. Always something to complain about, eh? It's only because I showed you how good it looks when it's dark..
  15. I think it'll start on the first day of each month. @BWG?
  16. Looking good @iamjanco It must be nice to have all those QD's. I decided not to go with them in my build, because even inside one of the 'biggest' cases I could find there is still not enough room. Will you add some color to the coolant or do you keep it clear?
  17. A fanboy doesn't hide all that awesomeness behind a spoiler tag, we want everyone to see we are fanboys!
  18. Welcome to EHW @thermotto I remember your old name too, and like Avacado said we can always use your help for team 239902 if you want to
  19. '2-3 weeks' I hope to have my current system taken apart, and the new system build by that time
  20. Function over form, always! I bet that works pretty good as long as the wind isn't directly on that window.
  21. I'm glad it works too, first try and the video you posted made it easy! This looks a lot better than all those 'spoilers'
  22. Oh yeah, it takes only one update to cause a lot of damage.. I've had enough problems at work caused by a variety of updates, not only from Windows. I'm glad I noticed, I installed the updates and disabled the Windows update service again.
  23. @damric I just noticed that the update service was active again (on 3 systems), so even with the method I mentioned Windows finds a way to force those updates down your throat. At least it lasts a little longer than with the service enabled.
  24. OP updated, embedded the spreadsheet. Thanks for saving me time too
