  1. You guys make me jealous with those internet speeds, but I'm glad I can beat @BWG somewhere.. That's kinda weird. If you have separate modems it's strange that both are not working even though you only use one of them to stream.. But that your friend doesn't lose service with the same provider is even more suspicious.
  2. I can get a pretty accurate measurement for you, because the cooler still contains most of the thermal pads and putty and it is so dried out that it's more like concrete than foam. So it did not change thickness after removing the cooler. I'll add the measurements to the picture you provided from the front of the GPU. [EDIT] Mad paint skills: Measured at more than 5 points per location, pretty accurate caliper. I hope this helps
  3. Does that happen a lot over there, power outages? I need to knock on wood, but I can't remember I had a single one in the past 4 years. Glad you found out about it in time for the next month
  4. Don't put Ebay on a blacklist, I actually like where this is going! That's life...
  5. Dang that's ugly I've got to agree. That's not because I don't like the S2K, I love them but because I love dogs even more!
  6. My 2080Ti system is a headless system too. I run RDP from my main system to start everything and I can shutdown the main or whatever I want to do with it and the 2080Ti system will keep running without an issue. No dummy, only a power cord and a wifi antenna is needed. I might be lucky that it's working so good, cause usually it simply doesn't work. That sounds like almost double the performance @mmcdonald12, or did Luke pause the client while tuning the GPU?
  7. Nice, looking forward to it That's a lot of goodies!
  8. Thanks for the warning, from now on I'll monitor my FPS everywhere
  9. I love copper It's almost sad you'll have to change it for the Optimus active backplate..
  10. Yeah, I think it was something like that. I'll be using pads with the waterblock, only 1mm gap between the block and the components.
  11. Thanks a lot for the offer, though I am afraid that shipping will be more expensive I've been looking around on several webshops here and I've found Tygon Norprene R6016 tubing, 1/2 id 3/4 od. Is that comparable to the tubing you guys use? The A-60-G is a bit harder to find, but I'll continue tomorrow. @Ducrider Interesting, are you going to make a build log?
  12. I just picked the only black tubing my local shop had. Is it really a big upgrade over the ZMT tubing?
  13. While preparing my 3090FTW3 for its new waterblock I noticed that the thermal compound was completely dry. The thermal pads were fine, and the compound on the core itself was a bit hard but not dry. Now I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that a thermal compound should not be this dried out. It broke here and there while removing the cooler and chunks fell down on the desk. I guess this is what you get if you run this type of card 24/7 for 8 months, though always below 70°C. So I just wanted to share this with you all, I guess you can expect something like this with a powerful card. But after using it for only 8 months it might be a bit early for maintenance like changing the pads and compounds.
  14. Is everyone banned? So quiet.. To the person reading this: You are banned..
  15. LARS only uses stats from users who fold with their Web Extention. So your folding performance does not increase or lower the average over there.
  16. Might have to change the name of this system Thanks for the heads up! If I don't like the tubing I might change it, it's almost free compared to those fittings.
  17. Made up my mind about the fittings, so "True Brass" it is. (Sorry about the double post..)
  18. That's not what you told me on discord...
  19. I've been praying in front of my hardware shrine for an hour, asking the hardware gods to have mercy on that 290x! Seems like the seller is careful with the card
  20. A few hours later: I think I'm finished and I don't think anything else is missing (at least for my kinda builds).
  21. Really nice Mistio! I love full cover blocks for motherboards, I would love to use one on my X570 Taichi but there is only one block available and I don't like the looks.. How are the CPU and GPU temps?
  22. Sweet I gave it a try, the result is below. The only things I'm missing is WC tubes and fancontrollers, not that it's an issue but I just noticed it. Great work E
  23. Congrats with your 2 Billion milestone @Supercrumpet!
