  1. Whohoo :wheee: In 2 or 3 updates we'll be sub 700 ?
  2. Nice! Let's see if you keep getting work, if so then I guess it works ?
  3. Ah okay, I didn't know that! I'd give this a try if I were you, lets see if it works! Go to FAHControl (the advanced client control) - Configure - Expert - and under Extra client options click on the +Add. In the "Name" box type "client-type" and in the value box "advanced". Press "Ok" and "Save". Now you have it set to accept late stage beta units. I prefer them over the early stage ones, less likely to cause any problems. But afaik it will give you a wider selection of units to receive, so more chance to fold on all the hardware. There are a few more Flags you can add, which can be found here: https://foldingathome.org/support/fa...uration-guide/ On an other note: I fixed this, by shutting down MSI afterburner, using the AMD Radeon app and setting the clock speed in a 100mhz window. Besides that, I undervolted the top GPU by 0.15v and clocked it down 150mhz. That dropped about 12c on both the core and junction temps. The bottom card is undervolted 0.1v and downclocked it 100mhz. Still stable, no noticeable ppd drop and a good temperature drop!
  4. Well, I still have enough units to keep both the dedicated folder and the main rig running full power. Are you guys using any flags?
  5. I always use the following flags: pause-on-start true Client-type advanced Next-unit-percentage 100 Seems to work for me! I'm doing a combined 5-6mil ppd at the moment
  6. Congrats everyone! Thanks @ENTERPRISE, EHW, InWin and Corsair for the giveaway and everyone for folding ?? Sweeeet ? I can't wait for the build pictures!
  7. The case looks good! Can't wait to see it with all those gpu's inside Sucks about the fans, I always hate to go through the trouble of getting things replaced..
  8. I might have to wait for newer drivers, maybe that'll fix is somewhat. I would love to have my signature looking like that ? Same here! Lets get some points in ?
  9. Does your clockspeed fluctuate every second or does it stay at a certain clock speed for a longer time?
  10. I have the feeling the PPD could be up a lot if it's just fixed at the max clock. Will take a look around and see if anyone has a fix for it.
  11. Yes, it's working alright now. A little report: at first it wasn't going into bios but requested me to select a proper boot device. Pressing a key resulted in a boot loop. Adding a usb drive would have the same result, so I started pulling hardware and changing things. Took out a GPU but no change, removed the m.2 ssd after switching the gpu's around a few times (because I thought that was causing the loop) and added an old sata ssd with windows 7. That worked, but after rebooting once it was going into the boot loop again. So I installed the m.2 ssd again, and it booted without a problem... I installed windows 10 and the drivers I needed, but couldn't get the internet bridge between 2 computers running (I didn't have a second 10 meter cable). After trying for a few hours I gave up and ordered a new cable, that'll be here tomorrow, and stole one from my brothers house today Still some things to sort, like the gpu speed. I don't like the variable clock speed, it's jumping up and down in a 250mhz range.
  12. So I've got the pair of 5700xt's folding. An extra heater in the room ? Decided to let them run for 239902 right away ?
  13. That's a pretty important detail for a motherboard with that many ports. And it's better to be safe... who knows where this build will end!
  14. Oh yeah, I'm into this! That motherboard is pretty cool
  15. I didn't like switching during this comp, but after doing the previous 2 FaT's I had to keep it going (badgecollector ?) But after the FaT the teams ppd will only go up! ?
  16. And after trying everything, without succes, you go back to the first settings/hardware and it boots right up. Sometimes there is no answer.. Take a cold one and try again
  17. Yeah, not sure why I said that. Must have something to do with getting a new system to work that doesn't want to ?
  18. Totally understandable, and you still have an awesome rig! So it'll easily make up point wise for a few hours of gaming I'm pretty fortunate to have a cheap apartment with plenty of room. With this Covid stuff going on there is not much to be spending the money on anyways, but still I made a few promises to myself before buying this. It's only been a month since the 2080ti ?
  19. Safe drunk driving ? 95% I guess, so I don't feel guilty playing a game on the main rig
  20. I've been using a VM before, but that is about 10 years ago. In the ship diesel engine world there is no need for IT training ? And yes, I like learning things like this and using them or playing with it, who knows when you need it for real! I didn't think of it that way, but that's a good reason to use them. Makes a system safe and easy to work on and saves some money too!
