  1. I understand that Could you ask them to report the PRCG too if they are willing to do it?
  2. I just set fire to a virtual candle, hope it helps
  3. I don't have any problem maxing out the games I play, so I know with the 3090 it would run even higher fps. The game I am interested in is not out yet, so that won't work. You know the one thing I would love to know though, what it'll do with F@H ?
  4. Subbed Looks like that rack is pretty decent. Quality welds and all, I like it! Would be nice to put my folding rigs in there and use it as a mobile heating solution I'm using some sort of dustfilter material I had to cut to size on one of my systems. It is a restriction but it does work. [edit] "Premium Ultra Thin 0.17mm PVC Case/Fan Mesh Dust Filter"
  5. That is a lot of interesting hardware in that tower! Good luck with all the challenges, but you'll be fine looking at your background Thanks for sharing the build log, and I can't wait for the next update!
  6. Mikiiiiiiii Welcome to EHW!
  7. Exactly what I'll be doing. 1.1KW might be a bit too much for a medium sized room though ?
  8. No problem at all, you (and a few others) have kept the team active in a time where I was away I really enjoyed being able to be on #1 at OCN for some time, even though many of those guys have clients at idle between the FaT's. So for the time being I left my clients running for them, enjoying being on top for once ? But now we are back online here, I'll keep at least a few clients folding for 239902 besides the FaT comp every month.
  9. The F@H team is working hard to fix everything they encounter. We've had a few waves of different units already, good and bad. They have been setting up new servers, and improved several servers to meet the demand. And yes, the hype has died a bit. So the 24/7 folders can take over ? Early this evening I decided to take down a few clients, running 4 of them is acceptable temperature wise. I tried to play some CoD Warzone, but I was literally dripping on the floor ? Also, I'm kinda looking around to get a used 2080 super or 2070 super for one of the systems. That one is in the living room, and with the 30xx cards coming I hope to get one for around 300 euro's or even less. Would be a nice extra heater for the living room ?
  10. Thanks Next time if I build a custom loop, I'll invest more time into making it easier to drain or change parts. The looks are high on my list, because I just love to roll my chair back, and enjoy the work I've done. My idea is to get a 30xx at some point, but I'm kinda waiting to see which one will perform the best with F@H in mind. And the waterblock availability is also important. It would have been way easier if it was just a giant case with hardware in one section, and radiators and the reservoir/pumps in an other section. Having QDC's between every block and the rads and a door to shut so you don't see it ?
  11. banned cause it's still at 289.... [edit] And mine is still at 150 ?
  12. Managing the temps in my room is kinda hard. Keeping the windows open as much as possible, and letting all the fans run at 100% is the only way. Last night it cooled down a lot, the 2080ti at 2115mhz was running 37°C The 5700xt's ran at 43°C and 47°C max, wish it could always be like that!
  13. It's been a while... I haven't been paying attention to the eoc stats, but I just found out that we are way past 1 billion points My systems have been running for an other team for some time, but as long as they are folding it doesn't really matter to me. Now that the forum is back online, and everything seems to be settled, I have one system back on 239902. I also persuaded a friend to let me use his 7700k and 1080ti if there is a comp somewhere, so it's possible to get close to 9 million points per day. Thanks to all of you who are still folding ?
  14. Oh yeah, this hardware makes me pretty happy! Looking at how much power it has, I'm pretty sure you are right. No need to upgrade in the near future ? I've been using my 7700k for a good few years, and it never really let me down, but I just don't like hot hardware.
  15. Sorry to hear that this purchase also fell through... Good luck with the next one!
  16. So, here's a little update on my main system. Now running a 3950x with a Heatkiller IV Pro block, and still the same Heatkiller IV Strix block on the gpu. Decided to change the inlet/outlet on the top radiator, this time the looks were a little less important than the ability to remove the cpu block without having to drain the whole system. I also installed a drain on the lowest point of the cooling system, so now I don't have to remove any of the hoses. And the biggest pain, although I flushed every part of the watercooling system when building it a few months ago like everyone advised it and using DP Ultra premix blue it still had some nasty stuff build up in almost every part of the loop. Had to disassemble the gpu block and clean it out by hand, same for the pump/res and most of the fittings/hoses. Flushed the radiators with the Mayhems Blitz kit, and that worked pretty good. Made sure everything was done the way they tell you to, and filled the system up with Mayhems Ultra pure h2o, biocide and inhibitor. Lets hope for a little less gunk this time ? PS: the second system is filled with DP Ultra red, and no sign of any gunk in that system (all blocks are clear).
  17. Any updates on this project? I know it's been a busy time, so no worries if the CFP is waiting to get some work done to it.
  18. I bought a Corsair Commander Pro, so I have some decent rgb control over my fans. And a few different types of thermal paste, just to see what works best. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, CoolerMaster Mastergel Pro and some Noctua NT-H2
  19. Just to let you know, I'm running the 3950x now. Decided to go with the ASRock X570 Taichi in combination with 32gb Tridend Z Neo. I'm happy with how it performs, between 350k and 500k folding on 27 threads. And even when I'm gaming, I can still run F@H on 15 threads to keep the cpu somewhat busy ? Thanks for the advice! Oh, on a side note: The 7700k seems to be running a lot better with an AIO 360 on it. Now I'm not sure what the reason is for that, but I see less temperature spikes and the overall temp is a lot lower. I have never tested this, always thought it was caused by the cpu itself. Last time I cleaned the cpu block from the inside and installed it with even better thermal paste, with no luck. Now I'm wondering if the block is flat... But who cares, that block is now a nice paperweight and the 7700k is happy with its new setup!
  20. I don't mind getting a new PSU, cause the one in the second rig is pretty old so I could switch those around. In this case that won't hold me back from buying the 3 series, if the extension cable wouldn't be an option. But first I want to see what it does in benchmarks with all kinds of setups and folding @ home. And if AMD has anything better to offer I might go that way.
