  1. ...not OLED-specific, but these trailers still look best on it, IMO - much of 'Hollywood' does use LG OLEDs for editing and effects-checking.
  2. He might also do this to appease Tesla shareholders who (rightfully) accused him on having lost focus on Tesla. In addition, to get big advertisers back for Twitter (potentially...may be...), he has to disappear from the active management letterhead.
  3. Your comment that "AI will break the job market sooner or later" is dead on...think of a typical bureaucracy (whether in the private or public sector) and the sheer number of 'information transmission, evaluation and regurgitation' workers currently at hand... = toast if there is a macroeconomic trigger for it, because AI can do it better, cheaper and with far less complaints and 'middle men/women'. Cue the Matrix:, after the item below...
  4. Is it time yet to unleash the 'There goes the neighborhood' ? But seriously folks, wish I could be there, but duty (such as arguing with several gov't departments here at the same time) calls. Have fun, y'all !!
  5. ...with Google / Alphabet getting ready for a new return salvo on AI, I can certainly see Microsoft pushing their premier AI-related services for all it's worth right now - if they could, Microsoft would even print OneDrive and 365 ads on our office toilet paper.... Suffice it to say that regarding the most sensitive IP machines we have at work, it is strictly forbidden to load any Windows OS at all, and as such OneDrive or Office 365...in fact, those machines all exclusively run Linux such as Ubuntu, with Firefox for browsing, Thunderbird for email and Office Libre for productivity, all behind a BSD firewall and some secret-sauce VPN... Chat GPT 4x AI is so powerful because it did manage to get tons of toilet paper imprints - so to speak...
  6. ...can't help myself - another great new OLED-enjoyable vid, no matter what your OLED model ...
  7. Two near-identical scenes from Cyberpunk 2077; first one with path tracing, second one without (otherwise same 4K DLSS3 Quality / FrameGen / NVR / settings). Original 4K .png files...best to view full size
  8. ...some path-traced CP2077... and FS2020
  9. ...recent run with a fresh Win 10 Pro install and Galax HoF vbios on the 4090...not my highest result, but this run was w/o bench settings, just 24/7
  10. ...looks like LG updates the software for the OLEDs, but per below, I can't really tell the difference (probably just more spy-ware ?!). I also had a chance recently to compare a 65 inch C3 and G3 - the latter had the new 'MLA' tech onboard (MLA= Micro Lens Array). With both at the same settings, they both provided a gorgeous picture, though the G3 was clearly brighter. Only flying is nicer ... ...and another super-yummy eye-candy vid for OLED (original 12K HDR...)
  11. ...a quick tip --- after the most recent FS2020 and also Win 10 patches, I all of a sudden had some severe stutter in FS2020, before, everything was butter-smooth. After some trouble-shooting, I moved the FS2020 rolling cache to a different logical drive (same physical NVMD) and that solved it, now back to 4K120... Visiting Antarctica... flying near Mt Everest... Lake of the Woods region, near Kenora, Ontario enjoying Seymour Inlet back home in BC...
  12. As mentioned before, this seems to be almost a carbon-copy of the early X99 VCCSA over-voltage in auto mode - mostly in early Asus bios - back in the day...almost 50% over stated Intel guidelines in auto mode, and that killed a few CPUs.
  13. ...now we're getting somewhere on the mystery-melt. Very detailed 38 min; if you run a Ryzen 7K, you should probably watch this...
  14. ...and this vid with additional Unreal Engine 5.x info (including path tracing) was just published
  15. cloud computing... looks simply stunning on a 48 inch OLED / 4K while sitting 1 1/2 ft away ...and some path-traced CP2077 (4090 / 4K / Overdrive)
  16. ...sorry for the consecutive posts; just saw this: ...& not sure if this one had already been posted at EHW..
  17. ...positive offset voltages should never have been offered in general bios in the first place, IMO, but especially not with the heat-sensitive 3D models. Positive offset bios should only be available for select XOC/ sub-zero benchers. Negative offset can work quite well. I'm glad though that I decided to wait with upgrading from my 5950X...the RTX 4K goodies such as DLSS3, FrameGen and NVReflex 'upgraded' the whole system in the main games and apps I use. My 5950X on Asus DarkH 570 is now two years old and still performs exactly as on day one; never used positive offset, even with benching (below, spoiler) on extensive w-cooled setup. In any case, when Intel's X99 chips first came out, Asus had 'early bios' problems (VCCSA 'auto' way too high) that fried CPUs, including one of mine which fortunately was replaced by the powers that be. Part of the problem were those 'unofficial' extra pins that were enabled by Asus...
  18. ...it also comes down to 'which DLSS' you're talking about . Below are three runs in Cyberpunks 2077 of the built-in benchmark with identical OC, and test conditions (temps; signing out and back in after each settings change and before each test). The first one is '4K Native', the second one 'DLSS2' (Quality) and the third one 'DLSS3' (Quality, FrameGen, NVR). DLSS3 and FrameGen uses more VRAM than DLSS2 w/o FrameGen
  19. ...happen to have this handy; Cyberpunk 2077 4K DLSS3 comp w/HWInfo inset which includes allocated and dedicated VRAM
  20. That was my point, dress in sarcasm - I'm sticking with my 48 inch 4K120 OLED for now. That said, I've seen a test vid in an AV store whereby I could tell the difference between 4K and 8K, but the difference was marginal (for now). 16K 360Hz OLED, or bust...
