  1. ...a few months old, but oh so very nice on an OLED
  2. I am sorry to hear about your situation; I can identify just a little bit, per earlier post, regarding old injuries which came back to haunt me. When I seriously injured my right foot (age 17) all those years ago, I (blissfully) had no idea what kind of trouble it would cause all those years later...cut nerves, metatarsal nerve pain due to foot geometry changes and all that...daily prescription pain killers and more. Still, it hasn't reduced my activities (including daily hikes) very much, at least for now.
  3. ...winter made a bit of a return this weekend (dashboard > 1 C). I like snow, though
  4. If you have the original CP2077, then adding Phantom Liberty makes it the 'Ultimate Edition'. But no matter its name, I really like the expansion noting that I tend to do less storyline / shooting and more roaming about. There are lots of new things to explore (ie. metro) and new vehicles, tunes and parts of town with more crime.
  5. Too bad AMD outlawed and gimped the MPT (More Power Tool, Igor & Co) for XT7K..my w-cooled 6900XT has a special 520W 1.25V core MPT vbios - still, even that doesn't get close to the 1kW 4090 XOC though
  6. ...some screenies transposed from 4K to 70% jpg...the original CP2077, then on to CP2077 Ultimate, followed by... ...FS2020
  7. Good advice...sometimes, the synthetic Aida cache and memory benchmark reacts positively to an 'out of synch' higher fclk but in actual applications and most other benches, out of synch gets worse - or at least leaves some potential scores on the table.
  8. With more games (including MSFS 2020) suggesting r_BAR and forced r_BAR works for others, I would definitely suggest the minimum system RAM at 32 GB (I'm running 2x 24 = 48GB DDR5). MSFS 2020 hammers one CPU core particularly hard and the reason why AMD X3D are top performers with MSFS2020 is the extra cache which in turn benefits from being fed by lots of fast system memory.
  9. ...there's no such thing as a 'perfect' CO, IMO...but a good all-round CO would run Aida SHA3, Aida FPU Julia and some AVX 512 without setting your house on fire...
  10. ...some Aida Photoworxx; new personal best at 65665 MPixels/s but this wasn't even bench settings ....I will have to do a bench afternoon soon with the new 7950X3D / DDR5 CL36 8200 setting
  11. Rio and Tokyo in 'regular' airplanes...then ornithopter again, but out of its desert element and into the snowy mountains around Vancouver.
  12. ...managed to hit the same Cinebench R24 as before, but with a different setup; this one has more headroom left ...starting to run DDR5 CL36 8200 ...ok in short tests, will see what long stability tests have to say about it
  13. MSFS 2020 new Dune II w/DDR5 8200...buzzing around on Arrakis
  14. ...trying some w_prime with 'undervolted' RAM and eclk with the new setup....lots more in the tank on both CPU speed and RAM speed, but not a bad start
  15. ...fasten your seatbelts and hold on to the RAM on a 4-dimm board...
  16. ...MSFS 2020 now has a 'Dune' segment
  17. @Andrew et al - MSFS 2020 now got a 'Dune' patch with an 'ornithopter' to fly...even more fun with CL38 8200 setting on the 7950X3D
  18. Extrude honing has been a thing also here in Canada for eons - I've seen a once 'porous' big block intake manifold treated with that method - shiny on the inside
