I put a socket on my crankshaft today and rotated my engine 2 revolutions to see if it is seized as well as to have a look at the belts conditions. It's not seized and the belts are in poor condition, so that's half good.

I need to get my car started soon and hopefully running. I was going to wait until I had the job that I want but I need some things done that i have 0 control over. I've been waiting for it to get done since the start of 2020. Finally got those things in, I could go do the next step, except when I got to the next step, I got told it had been cancelled due to the power being out. Now i have to wait until at least March for me to be able to do it again. Anyway, I do like that 95 RON is the cheap petrol here now, which at the time of manufacturer, was premium and it's what my car requires. However, it's also E10 minimum now. My car can't do E10, so I have to find some ethanol free fuel that isn't leaded or £5/L

I have no idea how long those posts are going to stay up there for. My other hobbies that don't include computers are cycling and cars. I am moving away from computers recently because of how expensive it's getting. Both cycling and cars are more expensive hobbies, but at least I get something out of it. The only reason why I still have a Windows computer is for gaming. But with how the gaming industry is going, I'm going to leave that behind as well. For the same price as an upper mid-range gaming PC you can get a well spec'd iMac and a PS5. Mid-range GPUs alone are reaching £1K+ and it's a joke.

This would be fine, except: The C63 AMG has a 700hp 2L I4 The upcoming E63 AMG will have a 700hp 3L I6 The S63 AMG has an 800hp 4L V8. The numbers are meaningless.

Unfortunately Simmons is no longer with us. There was a butterscotch accident and he didn't make it.

I did a thing! Three of the five were crossthreaded and damaged, I finally, over a month and a half later, had the time and weather good enough to go change them out for the new ones. It was much easier than I was expecting, except the brake bracket bolts. Those were really stuck on. I had to use my 1m breaker bar and between 80-120kg of force (785-1175Nm/580-865lbft) to get them to come loose. I really do need an impact wrench, but they're £500+ for a decent one with batteries and a charger. For a laugh I had a look at a Snap On one. £1200 for two batteries, charger and the impact wrench itself, so no thanks.
