    2022 Team Cup!

Just submitted mine. Thanks again @ENTERPRISE for providing a 3Dmark license.
  2. Everything Announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live - IGN Lots of new announcements. I'm not an especially big Harry Potter fan but I gotta admit that game looks pretty fun.
  3. I tried it and it is pretty neat. The only two issues I noticed is that the lighting from lightning strikes is a bit glitchy and in bright light things can get a little washed out. I'm sure it would look a lot better if the game supported HDR. This mod seems to do more than just visual changes though. It definitely also makes it easier to die, so the game is harder.
  4. A bad actor... I didn't know Nicholas Cage was a cyber security threat. Ok bye.

    2022 Team Cup!

It kinda looked like the list was made up of only freeware at some point because the one I'd need from 3dmark is listed as a beta so I didn't know if it was some separate beta version of something or what.
  6. Realistic Grand Theft Auto V mod is now available to the public (guru3d.com) Grand Theft Auto V — Razed Mods WWW.RAZEDMODS.COM This mod seems to do quite a lot. Gonna give it a try!

Those download links just redirect to the 3dmark homepage and it looks like owning 3dmark is still required for the CPU MAX benchmark.

    2022 Team Cup!

If anyone has a spare key for 3dmark, I'll do the amd ddr4 cpu max benchmark.
  9. My and the woman looked at that, we were also looking for a casual game to get into but we went with core keeper which has been fun so far.

    2022 Team Cup!

I can do that later today or this weekend
  11. Doom is cool and all, but it doesn't make my gf upset whenever I play it like Prodeus does.

    2022 Team Cup!

Oh yea I was just looking at the table on the OP but I think you're right, it has to be a certain socket.

I guess I could do the Geekbench4 - Single Core - DDR3 on my 2500K, but there is probably someone here with a better intel DDR3 setup.
  14. So it looks like this experiment has mostly failed for two main reasons. 1) I think there are just way too many used/refurbished laptops out there and although this was a particularly good deal at the price I was trying to sell them at, it was just lost in the sea of listing. I tried local listing as well, no luck... like not even one reply. My ebay listing got 4 views total. 2) Ebay recently changed their listing policy so that normal sellers cannot list things as refurbished anymore, only sellers enrolled in and approved of for the ebay certified refurbished seller program. I did apply to the program, but I haven't heard back yet and I don't want to sit on these laptops while I wait to find out. But it's not a total loss. I had two orders, one for 4 laptops and one for 2 laptops, all 6 basically identical. I'm only sending back the order of 4 and keeping the other 2. The 2 I am keeping is the order that I was already partially refunded for so that brings the total for these two laptops to about $210 if you include the cost for return shipping on the 4 I am sending back. I'm actually not sure if I will be refunded for the cost of shipping when they were sent to me, so the final total might be $30 or so higher in the end, but still two laptops for $210-$240 isn't bad at all. The partial refund I got was for one having a white spot on the screen and one bad charger so I will probably try to sell that one for $100 or so, whatever I can get for it, and just keep the last one for myself. What I would have done differently looking back: I had it in my head that I'd be getting these cheaper if I bought them in bulk but I don't think that was really the case. I probably could have gotten about the same deal ordering one laptop at a time and I should have tried with one or two laptops just to see if it worked at all before jumping in with 6 laptops right away. I also didn't even look at macs, and I should have. I probably didn't look at them because in the past I have found it pretty hard to find good deals on them with any resale value, but they are much easier to resell when a good deal can be found. I have sold a few macs on ebay before and they sold very easily. Just a note, I never got as far as doing any repairs on any of them. First I wanted to see if any that didn't need repairs would sell, and they didn't. So maybe I will try again, maybe with a mac. And if anyone wants an 8th gen i5 laptop with a small white spot on the screen that is only noticeable when the background is dark for $100 shipped OBO, let me know.
  15. 'Cannibal CME' from Huge Explosion on Surface of Sun Is about to Hit Earth WWW.MSN.COM The U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center has upgraded its geomagnetic storm watch from moderate to strong as a group of CMEs approaches. Been seeing these in the news a lot lately. It would seem earth is lined up with some sun spots lately. What's interesting is we are actually in the calm part of the suns 22 year cycle. If you live up north, watch for any aroura!
  16. Here is a game recommendation for anyone who likes classic doom inspired games: This game is on steam and game pass. It's really good, very intense music and sound effects, weapons feel weighty and satisfying. Additionally, the online mode lets you download a bunch of custom single player maps, so you never run out of new maps to play. You can set the enemies to be 2d sprites or 3d models, there are retro filters like scanlines you can enable, but mostly it's just a really solid game. The first doom game I played was Doom 3 so I don't have a nostalgia-based interest in this game, but I still really like it. If you have game pass already, definitely check it out.

Between my 2500K rig sitting in my closet and my two ryzen systems, I don't have anything that lines up with the requirements unfortunately.

I must be missing something, I don't see any kind if list of hardware. Do I need to be signed in?
  19. So I've listed one of the laptops on ebay and I've definitely hit a wall here and my listing isn't getting hardly any attention at all. I think what's going on is although the price is definitely good, there are soooooooooo many listing for used/refurbished laptops that it just gets lost in the sea of listing. Im getting closer and closer to just listing them at cost. If anyone here is interested, $160 + $20 shipping. The good news for me though is that the listing I bought these from accepts returns, so worst case scenario I just have to pay return shipping.
  20. Interesting idea for sure but there are so many different kinds of RGB lights you can get now, I wonder if there would be an easier way to get the same results.
  21. Yea, I would expect to see price drops pretty quickly on these, especially since consumers cpu market is starting to cool down with most people having already moved past the quad core i7 phase and not being in much need of a cpu upgrade.

  24. Intel Arc 3 A380 vs. AMD Radeon RX 6400 | TechSpot WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Here's another look at the Intel Arc 3 A380 GPU, but this time on a 51 game benchmark against AMD's $150... Maybe not completely horrible start, but definitely not good. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to clean up this driver mess.
