  1. You might wanna try v-sync with triple buffering enabled just to see if it feels smoother.
  2. What vsync setting do you use? It's pretty hard to get rid of all spikes, your graph looks pretty good tbh.
  3. **shakes fists** damn miners! Haha I just want two GPUs so I can upgrade both my computers. Still waiting on one RX 6800 to arrive, haven't been able to successfully order a second GPU. But with the way things are, I gotta be honest that if I could order more I would just because the resell prices are so insane. I wouldn't go full scalper but if I could order like 5-6, I would and just sell the extra ones and call it a day. I think I'd at least list them for a little less than the general scalper price though or maybe see if any of my friends wanted one. That's gotta be a big part of why it's so bad. Even people that don't really want to get into scalping can't ignore the math of buying something and selling it for 3 times the price.
  4. Probably using this: This stuff has been around for almost a decade, cool to see it finally getting used for something beyond cool youtube videos.
  5. Damn that sucks. I've only signed up 3-4 times, definitely no luck either. Seems like winning the newegg shuffle is like finding a 4 leaf clover.
  6. Amd.com had a big drop today but the website kept crashing, it was a mess.
  7. Can't imagine it would work any other way. It looked like it's not used in the teardown you posted, it must be an extra fan plug for a slight different model or just different fan config. Most likely the two fans are daisy chained and both connect to the PCB via the same fan plug but I would imagine there are also some versions that use two fans that both plug directly into the PCB.
  8. Valheim look interesting to me but I think it appeals a lot more to anyone who hasn't already played a ton of minecraft because they're very similar style games. For me, I see Valheim and I think to myself "I don't think I'm ready to play minecraft again right now".
  9. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/strong-evidence-found-for-a-new-force-of-nature/ar-BB1foqlb?ocid=mmx&PC=EMMX2 I wish I were smart enough to have more to say about this.
  10. Haha don't get too excited. Amd.com is the only luck I've had so far with this alert thing. It can be depressing to miss out on all the other alerts.
  11. They're not hard to find, there are dozens on youtube though I hear twitter and discord has some groups for this that are a little quicker. 24/7 Live stock alert for RTX 3060/TI/3070/3080/3090 6700/6800/XT/6900XT with sound for USA stores - YouTube
  12. No I haven't been stalking the site, but with the pandemic my work is on hold so I'm at home all the time and I often just keep a youtube stream running in the background with GPU inventory alerts and I'll click on the alerts if I get a chance. I got lucky with AMD.com twice, but the first time I ordered a card so fast that I didn't realize paypal had pulled up an older shipping address and so my order basically is going to get sent back to AMD and refunded because it required valid ID and a signature at the correct address for the package. That time I got a 6900XT. Second time I was able to order two RX 6800s but they just canceled one of them and sent me an email about one per customer. That time I could have gotten pretty much any AMD card, but thinking they were all going to end super fast... the RX 6800 was just what I ended up with. Surprisingly that time the window time to be able to get cards on AMD.com that day was like 5 minutes. They seem to have success fighting off bots so you actually get a little breathing room if you are lucky enough to see an AMD.com alert. Last time it was on a Thursday, I think AMD.com might do drops on Thursdays, could be wrong but maybe stream an alert thing on Thursday and who knows.
  13. Don't sell internationally, that's how they get you.
  14. Since I just got an RX 6800 for $630 from AMD.com (tried to buy more than one and they canceled my other orders haha) I'm about to sell my 1080Ti used and not only upgrade my GPU to a much faster one but also I'm sure I'll make a profit in doing so. I think my 1080Ti will sell for $8-900.
  15. Look at this, its nuts, this has 24 bids on it an its already at $400 with a couple hours left before the auction ends. It will probably sell for $500 or more. PowerColor Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (AXRX4808GBD53DHOC) 4715409188131 | eBay
  16. brah those mofos are going for almost $400. Sell it or mine it but do something haha. Either way it's burning a hole in your pocket.
  17. Seems like the only option as a consumer is to bend over when it comes to any ISP, the only difference is how far.
  18. I have also seen this, that eventually CPUs will supposedly have both x86 and ARM based cores. I think it was on guru3d actually but it was a while back.
  19. The top text are your words right? You don't need to delete anything, just add to it. Just quote the article and put that at the top of the OP, then the source, and then whatever you want to say about it after. Also don't forget to update the title of the thread to match the article you're quoting. Pro tip, there's nothing wrong with posting a screen shot of the article but you can also use the images from the article in the OP more directly by using the insert image from URL option and just copying the link to that image.
  20. You may be right about that, though star link still has a long way to go. The plan is to have 30,000 satellites and so far they're only at about 1200, so they've only setup about 5% of their network so far. I think the speed test numbers aren't bad for only 5% operating capacity. As for the Tesla car thing, I think it's just that yes the cars motor can do it but at that level of acceleration the tires just can't stick to any road well enough to get it there unless it's practically purpose built for a tesla speed test. That said, I'm not really a fan of Musk. He's pretty hot headed, seems like he could get himself into trouble someday.
  21. What was your prediction? It's still early, they're not even selling to the general public yet. Once they have enough satellites to have even coverage, then will be the time to judge.
