  1. True, funny, that would include me. I had no idea. I definitely play a ton of RL. Speaking of gaming, you up for some more HLL this weekend?
  2. Hey, hey, hey. All of my folders with the exception of the M40's are loved immensely and showered with coolant admiration daily. It's not my fault you're a bad GPU parent and let those poor, darling GPU's operate in your sweatshop.
  3. I'd be willing to pay international shipping to find those poor, sad, un-loved and neglected cards a decent home. We can negotiate a CPU/GPU swap You know I have a 9900k, 8700k and a 1900x not in use
  4. Seeing as how it's random, if I win it, I'll gladly switch. Last thing I need is a 7th case.
  5. I sadly don't know much about the AMD side of GPU's (Have never owned one). Most likely is pretty old. It does have OpenCL 1.2, so it should technically fold. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-hd-6850.c255
  6. I want to jump through the screen and help you and hug you at the same time. Please tell me you live in North Carolina, I have a few spare cases you can have!
  7. Thats right @Imports_R32 lets get your OC tuned so you can beat out your old man.
  8. Don't let him fool you. He's sandbagging about 1 - 1.2 million extra PPD per update. By extra hardware, he means his 2nd 3090. What He and I are truly after is that sweet, sweet 5 million point update. #AmiRight?
  9. You alright there @Bastiaan_NL? Better get that 2nd 3090 going hoss. AND..... Lets get the day started right.@Minotaurtoo Can you feel it? Can you feel it coming in the air tonight? I know I can.
  10. Yes. But the more we talk the more I am honing in on DDU and a fresh windows install. Will have time to test Wednesday.
  11. Interesting and thank you for the tip! "Should automatically enable CUDA support with Keplar and later GPU's." The M40 Is Maxwell. Again. I HAVE had them run CUDA before. I am thinking I just need to wipe and re-install everything. Link: https://foldingathome.org/2020/09/28/foldingathome-gets-cuda-support/ To get the most performance out of the new CUDA-enabled core, be sure to update your NVIDIA drivers! There’s no need to install the CUDA Toolkit. While core22 0.0.13 should automatically enable CUDA support for Kepler and later NVIDIA GPU architectures, if you encounter any issues, please see the Folding Forum for help in troubleshooting.
  12. They do not like advanced WU's. I wouldn't ever try to BETA tag the M40's. Interestingly enough they have CUDA 5.2 and I have had them run the advanced units successfully, but is sporadic. When I have the time, I will need to do a deep dive on their drivers, I had loaded the CUDA drivers from Nvidias site, but they range from 7.5 to 11.2, Will have to play with them more to get better stability. Basically, they have been running OpenCL instead of CUDA, which is weird because they have run CUDA before. It might just be a driver thing for sure, as I swapped MOBOs last night. Might need to clean install OS and Tesla Drivers. Looking forward to getting the bifurcation cards as well. Also as previously mentioned, I think 2 of the cards are dying. Make sure you get these tested asap to make a return if needed. I also have 3 more coming tomorrow. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/tesla-m40.c2771 Lastly, the cards would probably benefit big time from new thermal paste, considering they are 6 years old at this point and what we've bought has probably been working non-stopped in some data center somewhere. Will need a free weekend and A LOT of beer to get that tall order completed. At the end of the day, the numbers don't lie. If you can get them working right, for 120$, the M40 is hands down the highest PPD potential (Maybe not the most efficient) card on the market. They don't mine well, so they aren't being bought up by miners.
  13. How effing great and frustrating at the same time. GPU-z detects them all, yet only 3/5 work. These cards don't like advanced @ENTERPRISE
  14. Make sure you get a few >30cm or you'll regret it.
  15. Man that looks nice, why can't I find something like that here in the states.
  16. Yea, don't see you on the stats tracker. Did you sign up on the first page? Have you completed a WU yet? Did you make sure you set the right folding team in your FaH client?
  17. Thats why iv'e been mining. Only been doing it for 5 weeks and I have about 0.80 ETH. Not bad.
  18. You tell me. Looks like ROI @ 850$ would be 4 months. https://whattomine.com/
  19. I'm coming for dat ass @BWG *Warning* Explicit content below. Seriously, don't click play unless you can handle it. We go hard during FaT's, I couldn't resist ?
  20. I hear that. I debated as well. Will lose 200$ on mining income this week to support the comp.
