  1. One thing I like about my doctor. He doesn't just try to shove pills at me unless absolutely needed and is always exploring both my lifestyle for improvements, physical therapy (for past issues I have had), etc. I've been wanting to get rid of these acid reflux pills I've been on daily now since 2020 and initially finding out I had issues and that hiatal hernia. Sadly it looks like I am permanently on them unless they do a surgery which they say will likely result in trading one issue for another. In the meantime, I've lost 10 lbs since Thanksgiving and still working on it. I need to lose about another 50 and I think that will help alleviate a lot of my problems.
  2. Hope everyone is doing well. Still contemplating cancelling my upper endoscopy procedure coming up on Thursday when they called to tell me my portion was $1800. Let me tell you about how bad this insurance is.
  3. Love the white front and back t-shirt.
  4. If podcasts ever get resurrected, I'd love to join if we ever chat about GPU news.
  5. Granted, but then you become part of a holodeck Star Trek episode which means malfunctions, safety protocols disengaged, and can't get back out and oh no, what's Cyrus Redblock doing here. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in Nvidia's pricing meetings.
  6. Talk about such a major loss to the industry. Love just watching the talent in this video as they cobbled together a working 4090 to get world records one last time on EVGA hardware, and it was genuinely interesting to watch how the repair center worked to salvage working GPUs.
  7. I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener.
  8. Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but looks sort of broken:
  9. I know Micro Center price tags when I see them. Looks like you're getting ready to setup a beast!
  10. Picked up a 32GB b-die kit. Had some gift cards so basically $130 off this: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C14D-32GTZNA - Newegg.com WWW.NEWEGG.COM Buy G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C14D-32GTZNA with fast shipping and top-rated customer service. 11. How about keeping 2+ year old 30-series cards at MSRP (at best) and trying to slot that in with 40-series to justify the ludicrous pricing as if to pretend these are concurrent generations and 40-series isn't for "the plebs"? Confused about the AMD drivers killing RDNA2 GPUs, saw the article and they did mention all the cards having the same driver, but then show a pic of a cracked die. I'm at the office today, is it in the videos?
  12. I would not really be willing to have a complete stranger come to my house. Its one thing if it was an OCNer who was on there a long time, and maybe not known to me, but at least established on the site and seemed reasonable. I'd probably just opt to meet for coffee or lunch or something first like Jan said just to get a feel for the guy and if it seems fine work out what exactly they are looking for, set clear expectations early if you decide its something to pursue.
  13. Nice, is that a Mo-RA? I haven't watched that video yet, but isn't a 13900KS just a highly binned and higher clocked (as a result), 13900K? Hope Intel's on track with their 7nm.
  14. This appears to be your new favorite face to type. That's cool about the Intel posters. Coolest one out of the bunch.
  15. Corsair XR5 and XR7 radiators are rebrands of the lower end HWLabs L-series rads, with a markup and as such often end up selling for the same price as the higher end HWLabs Nemesis line. Same money spent you can get the Nemesis rads instead of paying the Corsair tax for lower end radiators. I'd also avoid the Corsair pump/res combo. For the money spent its not only an underpowered pump, its cheap plastic materials. You get much higher material quality with Aquacomputer Ultitube, Bitspower, and Heatkiller would all be better options. You're not wrong about needing to think if its worthwhile to watercool older parts. That said a 2080 Ti is roughly equivalent to 3070/3070 Ti performance. For the money spent for a 4070 Ti which is roughly 3090/3090 Ti performance, yes its an uplift with newer feature, better RT, etc, but I don't know, doesn't seem worth it to me for the money. But you've definitely given OP some thoughts to consider. The DLSS and newer RT cores if you care about RT will certainly be an uplift over the 2080 Ti.
  16. I just want to say, I always enjoy coming in here and seeing what dancing GIF @The Pook has for his selection.
  17. I could see how it changes their future projections if tier one customers like Nvidia, AMD, etc. are cutting back and that hasn't necessarily manifested yet, but for this quarter yeah...
  18. I think increased upload is tied to the premium account tiers. But probably a question for @ENTERPRISE
  19. Is this Star Citizen? How does the experience compare to say No Man's Sky or Elite Dangerous or such if you've played those.
  20. Another blow in a string of what feels like many in this space. What's an alternative? I know EVGA has their Precision software, but I assumed you only got that with their GPUs which hey guess what they stopped making. Maybe I am wrong on that, not sure.
  21. Yikes. The bad news continues with RDNA3.
  22. Welcome. I know I've seen you here and there on OCN as I've also been there since around 2010, but I don't think we've really crossed paths. Anyway, welcome to EHW!
  23. Looks like a great $400ish 60-class card to me. They were going to try to call this a "4080"? MSI Gaming X RTX 4070 Ti: MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3060:
