  1. Nice! I had some really big payroll issues last year with my employer regarding insurance stuff. Still not sure they entirely fixed the tax aspect of the error so still waiting on my W-2 to see.
  2. I went ahead and did the backorder/preorder on MMM.
  3. Well you both put my mind at ease.
  4. Ok, that helps a lot. Thank you both for that. I am similarly very sensitive to PC noises. One of the reasons I watercool is because of how much I cannot stand a jet engine sounding PC when gaming, or fan noises in general. I generally keep my fans around 1200 RPM and my D5 pump around 40-50% for my general day to day use for reference. If that audio was your pump, I heard kind of a tick/click at 0:08 and 0:10, is that what you were referring to? Because otherwise I didn't hear anything else really, so that puts my mind at ease.
  5. Wow almost sounds like a pump? I had no idea these things made noise before you mentioned it.
  6. Oh really? Is it loud? That may pose a problem since I aim for silence with my watercooling where possible.
  7. Hmm, that is very good to know, thank you. I may just go ahead and do that then. I believe so, but don't recall off the top of my head. Looks like the D5 pump goes into a pump top (mines acetal), and then the actual reservoir.
  8. Well if I went that D5 Next route, I have an EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 (bought from my local Micro Center when I needed something quick) I would use it on. Just trying to figure out if that would work with the mount bracket I have on it. I am intending to mount it on top of the bottom 360 radiator/fan towards the front of the case if that makes sense. It is side mounted right now (my current rig was transplanted out of a smaller case). EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) Vertical - Spare parts & Tools - Accessories – EK Webshop WWW.EKWB.COM EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) Vertical is a horizontal and vertical mounting adapter for pump and combo unit installation. It is compatible with EK-XTOP Revo D5, EK-XTOP Revo DDC, EK-XTOP SPC pumps...
  9. My other thought was a D5 Next pump, but unsure if that is compatible with my current reservoir and how it will mount.
  10. Do you need an Aquaero to use that?
  11. I was looking at picking up an Aquacomputer High Flow Next or one of their other High Flow products, but seems to be out of stock everywhere. Anyone have any other recommendations? I've never really used one before, but I wouldn't mind being able to keep track of coolant temp and flow rates.
  12. People have gotten used to paying for the privilege of being "test it in prod" beta testers. True with so many things these days sadly.
  13. That's bizarre. I would not be leaving 4 or 5 star reviews if my primary storage slots are just straight up dying or DOA.
  14. Yep. I did manage to snag a Dark Hero, but still on the 5600X for now. Going to look at snagging a 5900X around the time Zen 4 comes out I think. I don't have a want/reason to go 5950X since I primarily will just be gaming, but would like to have some fun with OC too.
  15. This arrived today. A little perplexed how it was bottled a month from last week (2/18/22), but otherwise can't wait. Am wondering if I should have grabbed another bottle. Oh well, will cross that path when I get to it.
  16. Even on Intel though, I've very rarely touched BCLK unless just trying to squeeze that last little bit out. As for AMD, last AMD system I had was like an Athlon back in the day say 20 years ago. I am going to have to read up on how the Ryzen overclocking works. I'm a bit lost on that front.
  17. Off topic, but just want to say how much I love the rig pic with Tux and the angry eyes.
  18. Agreed. Would not have been a good thing long term in my opinion.
  19. Oh that's good. I intend to turn off all RGB lights on the motherboard and my G.Skill RAM kit as well. Looking forward to seeing what you get out of it.
  20. How are you liking the Dark Hero board? That's what I have sitting in a box waiting for me to build it.
  21. Huh. I have one of these yet never thought to do that with it.
  22. I'll be tipping the case toward that corner when I drain it, but I don't see a reason for it not to work well, given my current setup. Retrospectively I should have just installed this on the other port on the left there, oh well. Will see how it goes come drain time. It'll probably go back on the reservoir when I do the rebuild though as I will be mounting and orienting it a little differently, whereas this would not fit on the res as it is now, partly because of the way the 45 degree Monsoon fittings are, blocking one of the inlets from use. I'll be using different fittings for sure.
  23. Not sure. Deionization just removed mineral ions from the water. Distillation will leave anything higher than the boiling point of water behind as an impurity. Assuming both waters have been filtered to account for biological organisms that won't be removed by deionization, then I think it's just better to go with distilled and call it a day. The loop will start picking up metal ions again anyway given copper, brass, nickel, stainless steel (some jetplates) in the loop, so deionized water seems overkill to me if its more expensive than distilled, and distilled is available. I haven't looked recently, so will take a look next time I am out, but I've never encountered a situation where distilled wasn't readily available and abundant.
