  1. Hoping to get dual 360's in there with the rebuild, but unsure if that will work out or not without blocking the fill port on the res since I am not using a distro plate.
  2. Lookin' sharp! Some days I wonder if I should regret not getting the XL.
  3. Related but also unrelated, my Samsung Gear S3 smart watch I've had for almost 4 years now had finally bit the dust with regard to the battery. I started looking online thinking oh god, going to have to buy a new watch. Then I thought, I wonder if I could find a replacement battery and instructions for how to replace. Sure enough I did and it became a $15 battery replacement (plus tool kit) vs $400 for a new watch. It's not a waterproof watch anymore, but that never mattered to me for my usage. It now runs like its brand new. One of the things I realized after removing and properly disposing of the severely puffy old battery was how bad an idea it was (similar to these bluetooth winless earbuds), how their storage caddies or cases are also the chargers which may lend one to just keep fully charged devices on it when not in use and how bad that is for the battery. It's like planned obselecense.
  4. Hmm...Well guess I might switch out this 5600X I haven't opened yet for one depending on their pricing/availability. Or maybe something I upgrade to in a year or so (the 12-core version).
  5. I used Twitch a very long time ago, so guess I will go change my password. It was mainly for something guild related in a game I was playing. I don't personally understand watching people play games for hours on end when you can just play a game yourself.
  6. We had out own multi-app outage today so it was funny hearing of FB going down at the same time. I would be ok if that one stayed down though.
  7. Oh I forgot that the Anniversary Edition was coming out. I've never played a TES game in 3rd person personally. It's one of those games I found very off-putting to play 3rd person. Maybe that goes back to my EverQuest days.
  8. Windowed Borderless sounds perfect, thanks. I'll peruse the Nexus when I get home. And agree, I get that Double-cursor issue too.
  9. At one point I had about 120+ mods, but became unstable. Currently I want to say I have maybe 50 right now but will have to double-check when I get home. Ranges from visual (lots of these), to gameplay, role-play, animation, camera, armor/weapons, etc.
  10. I want to say my last play-through was maybe 2018 or 2019? It was the Resto magic, 2H hammer Paladin. I just finished getting my mods stable again, but have not actually tried to setup a new character yet. This is on the SE version.
  11. Funny you mention that. I was actually considering playing that again and trying to do a more enchanter/magical type character which is outside my normal wheelhouse. I've done the whole stealth archer assassin thing, brute warrior types, heavy armor, Resto magic, 2H weapon Paladin type vampire hunter, etc. Finally got my install stable again last time I played with my mods. Just wish the engine let me alt tab without breaking the game. Never could fix that. I probably just need a second screen sometime, but would really need another desk for that to work for me.
  12. I've been out of that side of IT for years now, but I feel like the absolute worst for us was going from XP to 7 when it came to app compatibility with actually managed users instead of everyone being a local admin in the XP days. Plus yeah, plenty of other compatibility issues too.
  13. 7 Days to Die. Trying to actually finish my castle on this server I play on before Alpha 20 releases probably by the end of the year and the server wipes. Been having some structural integrity issues with my big Keep, so had to do a bit of a teardown and a rebuild on parts of it. Modded Minecraft. Messing with shaders and some maps/scenarios.
  14. Good to know. Will probably be out by the time I finish my new build, so maybe I go W11.
  15. I agree that long-term this has to happen. Shorter term, people are not going to want to spend more money especially these days where $$$ doesn't go as far and many are out of work given the last year+. Housing becoming unaffordable, etc. Anyway, I do agree, but it won't be a quick turn of events to get there. Yeah, been kind of alarmed at talk of "corporate cities" and "Amazon" in the same sentence.
  16. Hmm...yeah that's not a bad idea. Though I forget, what is the shelf like on this stuff?
  17. Yeah no doubt when it comes to semi-conductor market. For other things, people love their cheap "Made in China" stuff.
  18. What game is this? Is this Wildlands? Looks cool.
  19. Does that make it a 320-bit card again vs the 12GB 3080 Ti being a 384-bit? Wonder if any tradeoffs if they brought as a gaming card.
