    new case

Hot damn, that is some ingenuity right there.
  2. Weren't they launched in 1977 and the Playstation in the 90s? Anyway, very interesting they'd use an old processor like that.
  3. Not my thing, but the gif is cracking me up.
  4. Not from experience, but just from what I've heard, distribution plates tend to be more restrictive and have weaker pumps. I have an O11-D as well but opted to use a regular pump/reservoir unit. It does make it a little trickier for longer GPU's though, which many are stupidly long these days. So there are definite tradeoffs depending on the case and what parts you are using.
  5. Been seeing a lot of these on eBay (usually just printed pictures of GPUs though). Descriptions usually clearly state its a picture only so gotta wonder if its the bots bidding on these things.
  6. Been on a Moody Blues kick lately.
  7. Wow what a ride. I might have missed it, but have you ever tried the 1070 that seemingly has no issue in the gf PC in your PC to see if it also stutters? Guessing not the issue, but would be curious to see.
  8. Got my hopes up for a moment. I read that as "GTX 480" and got excited about the GTX 570 in my closet. ?
  9. I should actually see if I can lookup how much exactly I am paying for power to get proper numbers, but that looks great. Recoop some of the rig costs.
  10. Dang. Where did you get those for $850? Would it be worth trying some mining with a single 3070?
  11. How do you know what kits are B die?
  12. What is this "B die" I keep hearing about. Kind of been out of the game so been a bit confused on what RAM I should be looking at for the new rig.
  13. The passive cooled chipset won me over more than anything else really, though I do admit having 3 m.2 slots would have been nice.
  14. Huh, had no idea Chromebooks were that popular. I've never used one myself. My Dad has one. I think he got it because it was cheap but quickly figured out you can't do much on it. I do use a MacBook Pro everyday for work and I hate and I mean HATE this MacOS with a passion. Not only does it have a bunch of little things that just grate on me as a user, it also does updates and restarts randomly at inconvenient times way more than any of my Windows machines have.
  15. My local Micro Center got in some ASUS X570 Dark Hero boards so I ended up grabbing one of those instead. Still, good info for anyone needing to know, thank you.
  16. What? Everyone knows James Bond had an epic space battle in 1979...so far the only open human conflict in space.
  17. Well I for one can't comfortably fit in an ND (I tried). Pretty sure I wouldn't fit in an NA either.
  18. Nothing fancy but treats me well so I treat it well. Sorry for glare. Pic is from when I bought a new set of wheels for it and put on the winter tires. May just be a CUV but I love driving this thing. Mazda really knows how to make it feel raw for what it is.
  19. Got some old X58 era stuff (motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPUs) that needs to be getting rid of to free some closet space. Figured they weren't worth anything but maybe someone runs old stuff like that. Anyway, look forward to seeing the Marketplace.
  20. LOL at not just the representation of you, but what is on the monitor screen as well. ?
  21. Endoscopy. My insurance screwed something up with my deductible/out of pocket max so they will be getting a call tomorrow and I better be getting a refund.
  22. Yeah I would imagine that would help similar to a shroud. I am not planning to do push/pull just due to size constraints and noise considerations. May be anathema for getting as much performance as possible, but I primarily watercool for silence more than any other reason. Though I do plan to play around with it when all is said and done. Anyone got any top and bottom 360 radiator recommendations for the O11 Dynamic? Think a thicker style should fit fine up top with push fans. Bottom I am thinking probably a standard thickness, but will have to take a closer look.
  23. Thanks. I am still acquiring parts for the upgrade so nothing has been done yet. Agree, exhaust through bottom doesn't make much sense to me. Been thinking about it and if I can fit it, I plan to do a thicker 360 radiator on top and probably a normal on bottom with intake fans on the side intake, intake from the bottom, and exhaust on top (there is no fan mounting for a rear 120mm due to case size - its not the XL). Should make for positive pressure I would think (6 intake, 3 exhaust).
