  1. Yeah, that post is good for basics, but I like the extra few links for external stuff and the notes on the F@H client config that the EHW guide lacks. Maybe something to add to ours.
  2. @Avacadowrote up a nice guide for getting into F@H not too long ago on OCN. https://www.overclock.net/threads/ocn-folding-needs-you.1773167/ The big difference is that of course EHW's team number is 239902. The advanced slot options are very useful, and the external links listed in that post are great as well. I'd also add the link below to the list to compliment OCN's PPD database. It's set up by some guys over on the LinusTechTips forum, so while they are "competitors" I find it to be very useful since it generally has more up-to-date data, which accounts for the big boost Nvidia cards got due to some changes on the F@H side of things, and also has data on more recently-released cards that OCN's database lacks. https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/overall_ranks Folding really is pretty straightforward though, you've done the initial setup, then there's a few optional things you can set, and beyond that you can just let it run unattended. Everything else is just monitoring.
  3. This is pretty much a month old now, but I came across this recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5VyCSLN0GQ https://www.cmshowcase2021.com/products/masterframe-700/ Looks very interesting, I certainly don't have a good excuse to get one but I'll be keeping an eye on it. Curious to see what cool builds people come up with in it. I also get some Thermaltake Core P3/P5 vibes from it, but this just fleshes out that concept more I think.
  4. Very interested in seeing how these will perform. The first two seem a bit expensive for a single tower cooler (though that is offset by the inclusion of two fans out of the box), but I'm quite intrigued by another dual tower air cooler entering the market. Thanks for the preview!
  5. When I joined OCN years ago, I bound "Home" to one of my side mouse buttons for this exact purpose. Would love to have a button as well.
  6. Thanks for keeping us updated on this, glad to hear things are moving forwards!
  7. I feel like for quite some time now they've been shuffling people around more than the competition. Only makes me wonder more about how their developing GPU products will do when they're eventually widely available.
  8. Understandable, these things happen. Thanks for the update as always.
  9. Haven't gotten the chance to watch this yet, but it could be interesting:
  10. I got it yesterday evening/night. Kind of surprised how little that split has changed considering how many AMD build recommendations I've seen go around in recent months and even years. Perhaps a large offset is from internet/gaming cafes and whatnot that I think are quite popular in Asia (though I guess they wouldn't be too popular right now). IIRC they were responsible for a massive increase in popularity of the 1070 years ago on the Steam hardware survey.
  11. I like that idea @Bastiaan_NL, I'll do the same with a 2080 Ti if we get over 20 folders. In as CptAsian, of course.
  12. Cheers everyone! Blew my load on hardware earlier in the year between used parts from folks offloading for new releases, and Black Friday deals, so no new hardware for me. Got a few games though, including Horizon Zero Dawn, so hopefully that meets my expectations. Been enjoying the relaxed holidays so far though.
  13. Swapped rigs back over to EHW, but I don't think I'll do a 2080 Ti week prize since I'll be pretty inconsistent for the next couple weeks.
  14. That's an exciting list of features, thanks for the update!
  15. I crossed 500M points recently, but @Bastiaan_NL just hit a whopping 1B points for EHW! Congrats! Absolutely wiping the floor with us, haha.
  16. Man I didn't even think if it would work for video files considering it's named mp3tag, haha. I'd check and play around with it for you but I've since reinstalled Windows a couple times so it's long gone. Knowing mp3tag exists though makes me think it's entirely possible a similar video file counterpart could exist.
  17. Look into mp3tag, I think it allows you to change that sort of stuff for multiple files at once. Not sure if it can do multiple folders at once but I know it can do everything in one folder at least. I can't remember many details; I last used it to change album art for a bunch of music that I was shoveling into foobar2000.
  18. I'm curious, what is that image based on/is there any substance behind it? I just did a quick Google reverse image search and didn't find anything informative.
  19. In as CptAsian. I won't commit to a week of 2080 Ti as a prize just yet since I plan to move around a little more hardware in the next week or two, but I'll most likely offer something.
  20. 2x 1 TB Intel 665p M.2 SSD, $219.98 -> $169.98 (with promo code EMGCFGG46): https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4211474 Promo code only works for email subscribers, but that's a great deal for some stupid fast SSDs.
