  1. Wheyyy, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. The Cosmos II is a case and a half.
  2. This whole time I've been thinking I know I've done plenty of stupid stuff around PCs but I just can't remember any specific incidents, but this one's relatable. Both a friend and I have cut ourselves on separate incidents on the old Intel stock CPU coolers. Those fins were obscenely sharp for some reason.
  3. Source: https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/recall-alert/ring-recalls-video-doorbell-over-fire-hazard/2716672/ Just a heads up if anybody here has one, stay safe folks.
  4. I'll add the HAF series to the OP tomorrow probably, but here's my first build in my 932 Advanced. Still have the case tucked away in a closet, but I've been debating letting go of it as a free local pickup because frankly it's just taking up space, and I don't forsee myself ever needing it again.
  5. Interesting, the non-car people I've talked to have basically said they don't mind or it looks fine, but they want one because it's a shiny new BMW. Perhaps you associate with people that have better taste and I need new friends, haha.
  6. Seconding what you guys said. All I've heard is basically that enthusiasts hate them, but most people just don't care as long as it's a BMW. Haven't heard of anybody that actually likes them. Critically though, because the vast majority of people don't really care and they just see a new car, they'll still sell very, very well I expect. Pretty much the last BMW I really liked the look of was the F22 2 series/F87 M2. I'm pretty neutral about the G06 X6 and G07 X7, and I know those are controversial. Maybe it's just because I spend so much time around them. To my understanding the facelift G01 and G02 (X3 and X4 respectively) are getting the new styling treatment with the diamond grille pattern seen on the G20 3 series, the new Z4, and others, and that doesn't sound great to me. Only seen pictures with camo wrap so I don't actually know what they look like.
  7. BMW continues to knock it out of the park with their new styling direction. https://www.theverge.com/2020/11/11/21558833/bmw-ix-inext-electric-suv-range-price-specs (large /s) Actually though, I don't mind the exterior too much, but I'm definitely not a fan either. Personally I find that interior to be terrible though; funnily enough their previous generation of interiors was one of my favorite out of any make. Ah well.
  8. Just snagged one of these, I'm excited to finally spoil myself with refresh rates of over 60 Hz. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824012015
  9. Hey, very nice. I had a 932 Advanced as my first case. In hindsight that was extremely silly, but I was blindly following another friend's recommendation given only my budget, and he was blindly following logicalincrements. I'll definitely be flushing out the HAF series in the OP even though it's pretty much all retired, and I'll post some pics of my old CM builds as well.
  10. Ah yeah, good call. Honestly I just looked at reviews and not much else. I'll probably keep holding off until I can find something fancy.
  11. Cooler Master Cases In an attempt to get some discussion and build sharing going, I'll make the first case club here on EHW. Since we're not super active yet, I feel like one general thread per case manufacturer would be appropriate, and as activity picks up, we can split each series into its own thread as necessary. I've added all of the series and cases that CM currently sells, in addition to some of the more popular older offerings. More older cases can be added as users with them post. Feel free to leave any feedback. 12. Nascar championship finale from last weekend: Also very much looking forward to F1 at Turkey this weekend. We've had some fun news in the past week: https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/54879815 Big whoops on that one. And here's the proposed 2021 calendar with that in mind: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.formula-1-announces-provisional-23-race-calendar-for-2021.2Dgw83ieWq48p0ZjmcGRnX.html
  13. A couple weeks ago I booted up the game for the first time in a while, mainly to see how the 2080 Ti handled it (unsurprisingly it did very well). Ended up getting sucked right back up into it and picked up the Warlords of New York expansion. Gave myself a lazy weekend a few days ago and blasted through the new content and hit the new level cap already. I'm really enjoying the game again. If anyone here plays, we should group up sometime. My old clan has gone largely dormant.
  14. Thinking about adding to my collection with one of these guys: https://www.newegg.com/klipsch-k100-sw/p/0S6-0033-001U0 Always been mildly interested in a subwoofer, and that seems like a great deal. Any immediate thoughts?
  15. Wow, what a nice mess of a situation they've put you in. I also hope that gets sorted soon, never great when your stuff is in shipping limbo.
  16. Yeah I think we toyed with the idea of London in that conversation as well. I did think of Sleeping Dogs. First PC game I played after building my first computer, thanks for that, AMD. I really enjoyed it actually, but I have a weird feeling that it's one of those games that, if I went back to play it, I would think it's actually kind of mediocre. I'll just leave it as a positive memory. Thought I've only played IV and V, I can tell GTA singleplayer sets a really high bar regardless.
  17. Very interesting. I've never really been one for speculation about games and that sort of thing, but this is pretty reasonable. I remember talking with a friend at least a year or two ago about possible cities they could use for GTA VI, and there are a few fun ones if they wanted to go global like Tokyo, and get some of that Japanese car culture going. Regardless, I look forward to following this one, the 80's theme is interesting.
  18. This makes the most sense to me since winning someone else's folding time wouldn't make someone who is donating time feel like they're getting much of a prize. Additionally, if the people donating time don't sync up pretty well then keeping track of things could get messy.
  19. Good to hear indeed, I'm interested in seeing how this develops over the coming months.
  20. @axipher I'll also throw in a week of one of my 2080 Tis for around 4-4.5M PPD.
  21. Okay thanks, that's what I figured. Just wanted to ask so I could stop guessing. Definitely better to try to nail all of that down before making it public, then it becomes a messy work in progress.
