  1. Not what I'm saying at all - I have no issue with Cherry switches themselves and I can't really even tell the difference between a Cherry Brown and a Kailh Brown, for example. What I'm saying is if you want an RGB switch, only half (big generalization, but maybe half on average) of the switches from each manufacturer are offered on RGB boards. Cherry only offers black, brown, blue, red, and silver as RGB switches, and I'm a big fan of Cherry green and clear, so I'm out of luck.
  2. Been getting back into iRacing after a drought of races between the Daytona 24 and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Hard to find time, but it's worth it when I can get a race in. When I don't want to commit to setting myself up at my sim rig, I've been fooling around in Wreckfest and BeamNG quite a bit recently. I think a few folks here would enjoy those. I've tried Valheim and a few of my friends are pretty hooked on it, but it just doesn't work for me. I can't really say why. Maybe it's the art style? Maybe I'm just burnt out on survival games like that, and I just want to keep it simple and keep playing Minecraft? No idea, but every time I open it I poke at something for five minutes and then want to go do something else. However, I have been doing a decent amount of a different coop game that I'm almost surprised nobody else has mentioned: Deep Rock Galactic. Coop, not too difficult, satisfying progression, and the game doesn't take itself too seriously so I think it's enjoyable to a wide audience. Immensely well received on Steam.
  3. Very cool stuff, I've been loosely watching news on Perseverance. Update from the day after/a couple days ago now: https://www.space.com/mars-helicopter-ingenuity-first-flight-preview
  4. Shame. Never owned an LG phone but I usually kept an eye on them for some of the features they'd offer after competitors wouldn't, namely swappable batteries and 3.5 mm jacks. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not looking forward to replacing my Galaxy S8 when it kicks the bucket, but it's still in pretty good shape.
  5. Very exciting! Not sure how much time I'll have but I'll be keeping an eye out for a potential invite for sure.
  6. My first board way back in the day was a Ducky Shine II. I've occasionally considered another Ducky over the years, but I usually come to the conclusion that I'm not a huge fan of the bang-for-buck as far as features go, and I don't really like the switch limitation with RGBs. If you're not super picky about switch type though, and want a nice RGB board, recent Ducky Shines are super nice.
  7. Funnily enough drag racing is one form of motorsport that I'm not super interested in watching at a professional level, which is rare. I can appreciate the time and engineering that goes into it, but purely from a spectator standpoint the action to prep ratio is pretty low. Definitely looks like fun though, and credit to you for going out and pushing your cars, doesn't happen often enough. In a similar vein I went autocrossing for the first time ever a few weeks ago in my '03 BMW 330i. It's got like 202k miles on it, bone stock, and it's more of a backup car now that I take on some errands once every week or two to keep the juices flowing and whatnot. Had a great time and the car held up super well (plus I have to say I was surprised by my own performance), really looking forward to the next opportunity to do so. Long live amateur motorsports!
  8. Will we be using the restrictions of new gen vs old gen cards that I saw in a different thread? Definitely a fan of the scaling points adjustments. If we're also scaling Windows up to match Linux, I think that would actually motivate me to use the slower OS since I'm more comfortable overclocking there than I am on Linux. Just something for me to figure out.
  9. I'm in! As a prize I'll offer one week of folding on one of my 2080 Tis. It can go to anyone, but only if as a team we hit 900 WUs (just over what we hit last month).
  10. Good stuff, and thanks to Corsair indeed. Looking forward to seeing this up and running!
  11. I'd also like to give this a try. Will add to the ever-growing to-do list.
  12. Anyone interested in striking up some F1 discussion? Was quite the finish to the race, and sets a fantastic precedent for the season to come. Great start to the motorsports year in general as well. All three F2 races from that weekend were absolutely fantastic, full of action. Nascar has been getting underway, seven unique winners in the first seven races. Extreme E has had a good start to the entire series, based on the headlines I've seen. I'd like to actually watch some if I have the time. I know MotoGP and Formula E have also gotten going, but I don't follow those quite as closely, as much as I'd like to.
  13. Good stuff, the original is brilliant and I'm a big fan of most of the tracks Sefa has a part in. I have to be in the right mood, but they're really great sometimes. Here's another "Time" hard dance bootleg/remix while we're at it. I don't listen to the hard dance much anymore, but I do miss Neilio. Was definitely one of my top three producers back in the day but he just sort of fell off the face of the earth as far as I know.
  14. Out of curiosity, what's the black case on the left?
  15. Nearly been a month now, but welcome indeed! Great to have more folders onboard.
  16. If you're mainly interested in the switch hotswapping feature, there are quite a few budget-tier boards out these days that support it. Definitely a nice-to-have for me, though I don't do it often.
  17. Watching F1 preseason testing day 1, session 1 right now. Super excited to see the cars on track for the first time this year. Been watching for two hours and it's now 4 AM. I should probably go to bed.
  18. Wow, I hadn't realized his ridiculous PPD. That's revolting. Keep it up. And I like the idea of stats snapshots. I'm all for archiving stuff like this, it's fun to look back on years later.
  19. Lots and lots of general use in browsers and whatnot, and as far as games go, I play a bit of everything. I don't regularly play games that are super click-intensive (ARPGs, MOBAs), but I do play shooters somewhat regularly, but not super competitively. That being said, I've never had tracking with really fast-paced games like Warframe, which is my most played game on Steam. All of my mice have kicked the bucket by developing some clicking issue (other than the Corsair mouse that lasted a whole month): double clicking, not being able to hold the button down for click-and-drag, or something of that nature. I've tried to clean each one and it's prolonged the life of the mouse by a little bit but the issue always returns shortly and I get a new mouse.
  20. Thanks for getting this ball rolling! Is the link in the OP (or I guess I should say URL since it's not clickable) the correct one? Links to old OCN stats.
  21. Absolutely, until I got the G604, the G700S was the best mouse I'd ever owned and I was super bummed when it started malfunctioning. The G604 is only slightly better, but they're both fantastic.
  22. Absolutely, the Papadakis Racing YT channel is absolutely fantastic for that sort of stuff. Fairly in-depth but very approachable technical stuff in his videos. Great production quality as well. Gotcha, thanks. I'm in the same boat I guess. I like to watch full events for context, but F1 TV Pro is enough motorsports subscription cost for me, thanks.
