  1. Looks nice, I just hope that the multiplayer does not feel as clunky as BF5. Just could not get on with it.
  2. An update for my fans... lol. So a little case modding later, installed 3x 120mm Gentle typhoons into the lid and it made a huge difference. Even with the small fans I was hitting 75-80 but now around 64-66c. Clearly the cool air blowing directly on the exterior of the gpu and the backplate help's.
  3. Yeah so the AIO at the front is configured in push/pull but the wrong way lol, so I cable tied the fans to the front of the GPU, Seems to work fairly well. If it does not work out well after I get the other fans in I will alter the AIO.
  4. So the tests so far are ok with the small fans blowing cool air down through the heatsinks. Now as part of a cunning plan, im modding up the lid panel so I can pop in 3x120mm fans. As not a lot of heat rises out of the case as it is pushed through the back, im initial thinking of having these fans blow down onto the GPU's. Either way the fans position will be central over the GPU allowing for airflow to blow down directly on the GPU core section. May make no difference at all, but it should help cool down the back plate exterior of the cards.
  5. Well I got it booting now after disabling CSM and enabling 4G Decoding. I did a test on one M40 with the small fan and temps managed to stay low enough for max boost clocks :). However we will have to see how it goes with all 6. The thing is, the noise is loud haha. Depending how it goes, may put in exhaust fans to the lid.
  6. Yeah, that would be fine. The issue is that when the CMOS resets, it sits there like a dumb brick, as in nothing on the monitor as it will not boot any further and will not allow you into the BIOS to load in a profile
  7. Great suggestions, im tired so not thinking, will give that a go. That being said...what a ball ache if the CMOS resets or if there is a power outage causing a reset, then I have to remove all the GPU's set up the BIOS again and then put the GPU's back...sigh.
  8. So a new problem. Upon testing, I required a CMOS reset, unfortunately after that point I cannot get the system to boot. Looking at the boot diagnostic light, it points to VGA. By default the system will use the first slot, which is why I have the GT710 there as my dedicated display card. So I thought it could be an issue with that, but upon remove the M40 GPU'S, the system will boot. Putting them back on yeilds no boot, a little frustrating that be honest. Also tried using another M40 on a different riser and slot...but no boot. Also checked the D4 code that comes up and it relates to
  9. Uh oh. So I got it all setup ! But the GPU' run too hot as they will down clock to like 600/500Mhz core...not viable lol. We are around 85c and hotspot is 100c. At this point im not 100% sure what to do. I can try hooking up the smaller fans to them I got from @Avacado and see. I didn't realise how quick these things heat up!
  10. Oh nice, really enjoyed the original, so might be nice to re-play it with all the ray tracing candy.
  11. Looks like solid progress guys, huge well done !
  12. Reading through this just makes me want to nerd out lol. One thing I will upgrade is my switch to 10G...I am so exciting
  13. PC gaming will carry on growing to be honest. More and more people I speak to are moving from console to PC mainly to leave the functional limitations of the console.
  14. So I did some more work today now that I received the second PSU from Silverstone. A nice 1500Watt 80+ Titanium. Installed the last of the fans with their grilles to avoid cables slipping into them. Dust filters fitted to the intakes and the GPU power cable converters hooked up to the PSU. Had to relocate the fan controller due to a clearance mistake I made, but no biggie. All that. Is left to do is replace SATA cable with a longer one, pop in an additional PCI-E power cable and pop in the riser cables and we are go for full testing. On phone so excuse upside down PSU haha.
  15. Yeah that is the only downside to them I agree. Sometimes I tend to replace the sticky on them with something better.
  16. Those are not bad. I use adhesive mounts that allow you to loop a cable tie through, very useful for creating your own route while keeping the cables taught to the chassis.
  17. Great info and insight there. May even play with those settings myself.
  18. Well I have been stripping the cards and rebuilding them over last couple of days, just one more now. Keeping the shrouds off as I feel like testing the case through and through airflow will be fairly good. Plus the shrouds are plastic and only serves to hold heat in.
  19. Ha, I know what you mean. It would not be too much of a surprise if something extra was popped in the drivers lol.
  20. But its only to do with the driver from the looks of things as opposed to a VBIOS update to mitigate the security issue. That being said I have had a couple of VBIOS updates to my 3090 via EVGA supposedly to enable RBAR but you never know lol.
  21. Always like it when you get these modders who are able to do this, though granted results will vary somewhat. Great for anyone with one of the supported boards who wants an upgrade path to Vermeer.
  22. Oh nice, That should certainly get a good amount of airflow. I could for see cable management being a little trickier in that sort of case. I guess we are all too used to having PSU shrouds for hiding cables and grommet holes for routing cables behind the motherboard tray haha. I can see there is space behind the motherboard tray, so routing of the cables could go from the PSU and straight up behind it.
  23. It sucks as I am not aware of another piece of software out there that does sensor panels, at least not as in-depth as AIDA. Anyone else know of any ?
