It could well be the the start of the end for SATA in some form factors, however SATA will be supported for a long time to come due to the number of systems still using that interface and for HDD, SATA is not a limiting factor, so no need to replace in a hurry.

The 3080Tie just makes no sense...honestly this is a great example of capitalism....not in a good way. Just shameful pricing for a product that should not really exist.

Good news. Everything is now sorted with Paypal. I basically waited a month for it to get sorted due to one thing...the staff there clearly did not know the procedure. The difference with the call today is I was put through to a guy in sales who enabled the mass payments API in literally 30 seconds. A month of our lives, we will never get back lol. So where now ? I am needing to run a couple of tests to ensure the API works correctly and that there are no undesired results. Furthermore there is an update to the core software for the classifieds section which I am keen to apply before the big opening, but depending on the timeframe on that I may release and then update later on.

Hello all, I am in the planning stages for Rig Creator. As you may guess, this will be the feature that allows you to input your owned Rigs into the site and will also allow them to show in your signature area. I am looking for thoughts on the component fields we should have available for filling out when creating a rig. Aside from the obvious CPU, Motherboard, RAM, PSU, Case Etc, what other items would you like to show off in you created rigs ? Thanks all, E

I feel I have learned something today

Impressive. Though you would have to watch out for poor quality versions of such a cable as I can foresee a fire hazard for those skimping on things like appropriate wire guage.

Fingers crossed. Fortunately there is a directory of developers for this platform. I have already put the feelers out for quotation for the first batch of priority features for the site.

So I chased Paypal again on this and they are still dragging their feet, nothing changes there. Will be speaking with them next week once again.

Well just as a small update. We now have our full staff of admins, I will be spending the next few days getting them all up to speed to ensure everyone is on the same page and operations can continue smoothly. After this has been completed, we will begin our customization and plugin work. Unfortunately all progress looks to be lost with the last developer as I have not heard from him. It is unfortunate as well as a waste of time and money. However sometimes you have to cut your losses to move forward.

I was actually surprised they were even able to stay within the PCIe 4 spec with something of that length to be honest.
