  1. Yeah passkey is all setup for sure. Will take a look at HFM. Hopefully, I am trying to find a board that will accommodate for decent price which is proving difficult. Was thinking possibly of an older gen Xeon setup. Also quick question with the M40's, I assume these can run under their own power and don't need babysitting by another dedicated GPU ? I aim to use a mobo for the integrated graphics, just for system management and all the slots taken up by the M40's
  2. Received our unit today for mr @mllrkllr88 to take a look at, looking forward to what we find. Will link review here when it is done as well for reference.
  3. Ahh bugger man, that sucks. Late night tinkering has bitten me a few times, these days I have learned to just put the tools down and start again in the morning...easier said than done though when you have "The Bug"
  4. It is not folding under my name It is folding under ExtremeHWCFP Did not want it folding under my name otherwise its progress would get skewed if I started folding under my name lol.
  5. Hello all, In order to better keep track of all the upcoming additions and alterations to the site, we will now be storing them on Google Docs. This will allow everyone to see the upcoming changes to the site as well as requests we have taken and their status. You can see the roadmap HERE. We will update this record as and when progress has been made or when new items have been added. All the best, E
  6. Sweet ! So I have one for you guys. At the moment on average the PPD the F@H client is telling me is around 800K (Some larger WU's). However upon checking the stats page on F@H, the credit received over 24 hours is a fraction of this as per: https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/117182656 Over the last 3 or so days the machine has only made like 300K In my experience the F@H app has been correct with respect to point projection in the past, so wondering what the issue is ? Folding on Windows right now, will switch to Linux when I can. @axipher any suggestions on a distro and the above ? Will do a Log dump later too. ***Additionally*** May also look at a rig rebuild for this. Does anyone have any good Motherboard suggestions with bifurcation that will allow me to run 6x GPU's ? I am looking for something that will not cost the earth. I know I will need to get a splitter for the PCIe x 16 slots to allow me to run 2x GPU of each slot and that is fine, but need a mobo that can do bifurcation so that each GPU gets 4x lanes (Also will source a CPU with enough lanes). I have been looking around but all suggestions welcomed at this point.
  7. Ironically my TeamGroup Dark Pro RAM (B-die) on my X570 Asrock board struggles to go above 3600Mhz, however my TeamGroup Xtreem ARGB (High binned Micron) works at 4000Mhz XMP out of the box just fine.
  8. Had a 500 series board for a while and not experienced any of these issues, so I don't think it affects everyone.
  9. Source Famous last words. "Cannot be hacked". While I want the market to be more balanced, im sure some clever clog can bypass this.
  10. Yeah no doubt. The actual quality of some of the drives can be piss poor. I still find myself educating users and people getting a HDD for OS or general storage to not just take not of the HDD size but also the specs of the drive. I cringe when I see what people buy.
  11. Welcome to EHW ! Another recognisable username, good to have you here. Also thank you for supporting the site !
  12. Oh bummer man, how did you manage that ? Usually something so low profile is hard to bust. Sucks though, good luck with the replacement. Oh and welcome to the new guys pitching up !
  13. It is a one off payment, PrimoCache don't have a subscription model. However if you are referring to simply paying for something else, I get it lol. Oh lucky me lol.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions. I actually did not know you were referring to the Homepage but either way the comments are applicable. When it comes to reviewing these parts of the site, I will see how feasible a widening of the sections is. I don't expect this to get looked into or a little bit due to high priority items but when I have news I will comment here
  15. It is not on the roadmap yet but I have wanted to make certain elements of the homepage collapsible as a per user setting which is likely do-able for the "Latest" widgets on the homepage. I will see if this is something we can do BUT generally speaking site configurability fall under the purview of premium subscriptions, however I would make that decision later on. I would only opt to show 10 by default. This is in order to to not elongate page scrolling any more than what there already is. However it may be possible to have a "Reveal more" type feature which would allow viewing of an additional 10 topics. I think this is possible but would have to speak with my dev to evaluate it.
  16. Nice, I had that GPU back in the day, bloody monster...also very warm haha. So I was looking at the M40's and looks like if I get those I will need to get some proper full height brackets with them as well, which is not a problem as I noticed the ones you linked have a different mounting method. Apparently they will ship out to the UK, but waiting to hear back from them. Just hoping they get back before stock goes.
  17. Hmmm possibly a driver/f@h client thing, but yeah will focus on the M40's
  18. Nice thanks for that. Also noticed the Tesla K80... wonder if that is any good.
  19. Sold out apparently. Looks like most places the M40 is about £400 which is a little pricey.
