  1. I was considering those , have you a link to these cheaper one ? Over here I cannot find them cheap at all. Fortunately This is a 2x PSU rig so hopefully have enough cables lol.
  2. Well after a little more testing I might be ok. We will see ultimately I need to get a second GPU to really test so will look for another, looked at the 1080Ti and there going for silly money on Ebay...hate the market right now.
  3. Happy to help, thanks for bringing it up
  4. So I have had a dig around and messed with the Album permissions some more. You can now delete the images To do this you have to go into the image and click on the Settings dropdown as the below example. Also I found out how to set a preferred image as the main image for your album, see below.
  5. Chromebooks are fine for browsing and word processing etc, but after that I find their usefulness tapers off quickly. It would not be a purchase I would make but for the older folks who are wanting a super simple "It just works" experience, then it makes more sense.
  6. I will take a look to see as to removing images. The ability to have a main image I have not looked into, but it may not be possible depending on how the platform software handle's it.
  7. Did I get a ticket officer ? Yeah give Primo Cache a go. You get a 30 day full free trial (no limitations). I have had a full license for it for ages. Aside from speed it helps with reducing the amount of writes to your drive, prolonging life all in all.
  8. Thanks for confirming. I did a deep dive into the permissions, it was just one teeny one as always. But I am glad that it is all fixed now.
  9. Thanks will check that out, not sure if you will find it useful but Asus shows a list of their motherboards that support bifurcation: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1037507/ (Scroll a little down that page)
  10. Odd, Permissions seem to be fine. Let me take another look and do some testing.
  11. Hmmm this could prove to be a pain. Can anyone recommend a decent motherboard with a good amount of full size PCI-e slots that is compatible with an Intel 9700 (LGA 1151) May just go with a full riser setup from GPU to mobo as opposed to the setup I currently have. Anyone also got a good lead to a decent mining rig chassis ? Something that can take two power supplies ?
  12. Let me look into it, it will just be a permissions setting.
  13. Well it looks like I have some testing to do. (System all stock) I got a BSOD with respects to the Nvidia driver, which is no huge deal. So I removed the Nvidia driver completely with DDU and put in the headless dongle on the GTX 1070 so I can access the Nvidia control panel, otherwise it wont open if it does not detect a monitor input. Anyway, now when I boot the system and the folding client begins the system freezes, no BSOD or instant reboot. Will have to see if the log sheds any light. I will also try moving the GPU over to another riser card just in case the one I am using is bad.
  14. @Andrew, let me talk to the powers that be and see if we can start getting some of these 28 days you speak of, though I refuse to work the extra 4 hours in my new long days haha.
  15. Welcome bud, Good to see another familiar name here. I hope you enjoy your stay and sharing with us your future tech trials and tribulations haha.
  16. It is under Browse > Gallery https://forums.extremehw.net/gallery/
  17. What are you running to create your Ram Drive ? As opposed to a RAM Drive, I use PrimoCache to cache my physical drives. X570/5950X/4000 CL18
  18. Nice, this sort of case orientation certainly makes sense. Never seen the case before personally does it take an AX motherboard ?
  19. Oh man, and here was me hoping people were just giving away GPU's ! To be honest I have been looking at getting some more 1070's but on Ebay they are going for inflated prices right now for obvious reasons. If anyone is selling a 1070 for a realistic price then let me know haha.
  20. Certainly is. For a simple multi GPU RIG this was one of the easiest ways to go with respect to cramming 6x GPU's into one space while keeping cost reasonable. I had already discussed the Pro's and Cons of the system in the CFP Thread and yes there will be a little gimping of the PPD output but not by a hugely offensive margin in my opinion. It is not a perfect solution I agree, but for a modest GPU folding rig, it will do the job.
  21. Back in the day I used to do extended S.M.A.R.T on all HDD's I purchased. Admittedly, I have been a little slack on giving HDD's a full test prior to them starting work for the past few years now... woops.
  22. Makes sense actually. I would imagine Canada is a little more "accessible" than Russia.
