1. That is certainly not cool, no pun intended. I will read the article more but this looks like something that would only happen if you rely on PBO and not stock OC.
2. I did see this Nvidia Matrix with respect to their GPU'S what encoding is supported and max concurrent sessions, this has already been of massive help to me, looks like Quadro's (some of them) do not have a max limit on concurrent sessions: https://developer.nvidia.com/video-e...support-matrix
3. Yes my bad, did just note that you opted out ! As such with a re-draw @Supercrumpet is our new winner ! Please PM me with your Paypal details
4. From an aesthetic point of view, I actually do not mind the design. From a functional point of view, if that is a reference design, it will be interesting to see a tear down to see the entire cooler. I still think the PCB is to small, that or the card is monstrously long and that is one out of perspective shot..but I highly doubt it.
5. I think all of them over promised, so it does not come as a shock that Google Stadia is lumped in with that.
6. Not sure they would want to leave it that long...lets face it, that could go on for a good while more.
7. Source: https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-g...-3080-pictured Interesting, so the PCB is going to be THAT small ? Hmm not convinced. Interesting nonetheless.
8. Thanks to all those who participated ! I am pleased to announce the following winners: @franz SeriousDon @axipher @Bastiaan_NL To claim your prize, please send me a PM titles "June Folding Comp" and in the PM please let me know your Paypal email so I can send you your prizing All the best, E
9. Well that is good to know that I do not have to worry with dummy adapters, one less thing to worry about. Hooking a monitor may be difficult to one of the folding GPU's but I will end up doing all the work/config through the iGPU.
10. Glad you got it sorted out. I have not run any benches on 2004. In all honesty it would all be paper figures as there's nothing noticeable from normal use. I find it the same as 1909.
11. Chug chug away ! Luckily its its cooled down here the UK. Overcast and raining...so back to normal haha
12. Its a tough one, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't sometimes.
13. I think it is correct for Sony and other companies to delay reveals as in reality, the world has bigger problems right now. Not saying the world should stop, but I think a delay is certainly fair.
14. Really ? Mine shows as 2004. If you try the upgrade through the upgrade assistance through the MS website I wonder if it tells you that you need to upgrade still ? Find it odd that the build number has not updated.
15. Nice shout @axipher All this talk of Plex servers makes me want to build a new one...just because lol.
16. It is something I should have put in the main post but I start any days competition from the very start of that day, so 12am Wednesday in this case.
17. 1909 was a good build. Running 2004 and not run into any issues as of yet.
18. That could certainly be useful ! I have some experience in ubuntu. The GPU's will not be connected to a monitor, will test whether or not they fold at full speed without a dongle/adapter. If they do not then I will get some HDMI dummy adapters.
19. Now folding away again for this comp ! Throwing the CPU into the mix as well
20. Good News ! The GTX 1070 has arrived, oh and it is a posh EVGA Superclocked version ! This will get tested in the CFP but will actually fold in another system for the Folding Comp. Reason is two fold for this. A. I need to get the Linux OS sorted on the CFP machine and B. Space where I am is super premium right now (still have not moved to our house) so setting up the CFP to fold on one GPU when my already running machine can handle that, seems a little silly. However I am going to purchase another one of the EVGA Superclocked 1070's and hopefully all the way up to 6 (I like matching cards...it is an OCD thing lol). So quick question, who wants to link me to an easy to use Linux Distro for the CFP ? Once again a huge thanks to our very generous donor of the GTX 1070 !
