    That is fair enough, I think it needs to be available to the masses through a unified platform like DX12.

    Nice, but what RES is that at ? I will re-bench, but need to disable HPET as I enabled it for bench mate the other day and ever since doing that, the NOIR bench runs at like 20FPS for some reason. HPET and a BIOS update was all I have done since the last working NOIR bench. I cannot see it being the BIOS, so I can only look at HPET. Other benchmarks and games work just fine though to add to the confusion.

    Quick question to the Folding Guru's. Quadro's. Our work PC's have some entry level Quadro's, namely the P400. However when I install the Folding client it does not pick up the GPU. So I thought it was no biggie and tried to manually add it but when I try, nothing happens and it just drops back to the main screen of the Advanced viewer. Oddly enough it did give me a error before about supported GPU's (I think). Any idea or best way to force the client to use the GPU ?

    I just need more POWAH. Unfortunately I do not have access to other powerful systems other than my own. I could pop it on the work server but it would be CPU only.

    I suppose you could look at it that way. If it is a true 30-40% increase then you know Nvidia is going to price gouge HARD.

    Right, that all makes sense now, I did wonder if you ran some form of simulation which required that much RAM. I have seems some of the simulations performed on Solidworks and I know for some of those, or if running multiple instances ...you need a beefy amount of memory, not too mention a good CPU. The RAID NVMe solution is certainly the cheaper one, though arguable more of a PITA (with having to take things apart and drain loops yada yada).

    A little off topic but I have to ask, what do you do ? I just noticed your system specs and noticed the 128GB RAM lol.

    1080P Oddly enough, Now when I try and run Noir, I get like 20FPS regardless of what res I am running. Will check BIOS as that is all that I have changed as of late.

    I will have to run these benches at 1080P is a moment for direct comparison, I just ran Superposition at 4K below is the score.

    That is a fair point. I should try in 1080P and see what I end up with.

    Thanks guys. After leaving it a good while the WU eventually sent anyway and the fun continues lol. Might see if I can get my work pc folding.

    Quick question, I had a GPU OC that obviously messed up a WU. So now I have a WU that is stuck in "Send" mode. How does one fix that again ?

    Another run with a higher GPU OC Raytracing : Ultra Resolution: 3440x1440 Fullscreen: Yes

    So again a fairly odd score with Neon Noir I think. I even updated to the latest engine as advised. Will run super position and see what we get.

    Hmm that is a very fair point, I will check on that before benching again in a little bit Yeah Superposition is another good one, I will give that a go and report back with what I got.

    Still looks cracking even today. Granted though there have been so many optimizations these days in the world of games. I reckon if they do remaster it, they should use all the latest groundbreaking improvements such as Vulkan etc. Ray Tracing would own in that game as lots of it is out doors in the tropics with all that sunshine. I would certainly buy a remaster.
