  1. FYI, there will be a HWBOT team coming: https://hwbot.org/team/extremehw/ More on this soon
  2. Wow that is some serious power, it is good to see people coming together to fight Covid-19. To think that it is twice the peak compute of Summit, then again when you think of all the computers around the world with some grunt in them, it is not that surprising.
  3. @Andrew Nice would love to have you with us and anyone else of course. Thus far I am just folding on my 2080Ti's, but right now due to the move the PC is in the bedroom, so it is not committed overnight (I can sleep with it, the better half cannot).
  4. Considering how far AMD have come in the CPU market, MS would be silly not to consider them so this is a nice turn of events and even better for AMD if they can continue to infiltrate MS devices which in the past have predominantly used Intel.
  5. But.....that is Corona "Extra". You got a death wish boy !
  6. Music to my ears, keep it up guys ! Nice to see the the F@H stats pages are working again, still a little on and off but better than the ''Bad Gateway'' I kept getting lol.
  7. Nice, gotta love IPS and high refresh rates. I can still remember when it was one or the other which meant I could never commit to a high refresh monitor as it was always TA panel and im just not overly fond of those.
  8. Is it bad that I have never even tried Sushi ?
  9. It looks like some form of RGB is going on there
  10. Thanks for the advice ! We will certainly be looking into a better captcha style plug-in in the near future. Bots have not been an issue as of yet, so it has not been a high priority task. We have other security type systems in place that make it difficult for bots or spammers but the last addition to that framework will be a new captcha As for 2FA, this was already a consideration and will be implemented. I did put up a poll to guage interest in such a feature: https://extremehw.net/forum/main-forum/4555-2fa-or-not-2fa#post4643 Regarding the theme, we are always tweaking it to enhance its useability/efficiency. We still have more changes to come The HWBOT side of things I will look into. @mllrkllr is a busy chap so will see if he can, but if not I will look into it myself
  11. I can only guess this is not to stress I.T departments any more than they already are. Nobody needs to go through mass upgrades right now lol. Fair play to MS
  12. I will do a small write up explaining the birth of the site for sure
  13. A big welcome to you ! Thanks for the suggestions. I am aware of the Rig builder issue on the mobile platform. We were actually holding off on a few fixes as we were waiting to implement a platform upgrade which as of today has been complete, so I will get my dev to tweak this (and a few other items) in the coming days. We are running VB mainly due to the familiarity of the platform. We obviously run a much newer version of the platform, so far so good. Invested a fair bit of time and money tweaking it to the way we want...but it is certainly getting there. There is much more to come, but we have to do things in a methodical way otherwise it becomes madness as I am sure you know. Security wise, other than the Captcha which I will likely alter soon after I check my options, we are fairly good. Security is foremost on my mind. Feel free to check noscript for sure, you should only see 4 things running, Google Adsense, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics & Facebook connect. We do not run anything else, we have kept it to the bare essentials. Hell, Google Adsense only shows as the site was originally registered with ad sense during its inception but its not actually used as there are no ads! No, no corporation lol. This is a privately owned forum and it will be staying that way. Grassroots private ownership is where it is at for communities, not more, no less. Certainly appreciate your offer of help, luckily I have a dev who does all the work for the site but there can never be too many eyes on things As for HWBOT, I have no issue in starting a team, we have @mllrkllr88 as our native benchmarker man on the site and I am sure this would be right up his street, but I will have a chat with him and see if this is something he would like to take on. Look forward to seeing you around and it would be great if you can get in on the folding action, every little helps :thumbs_thumbsupup:
  14. Welcome back I remember my folding days under Linux, I am trying to recall the distro I used, needless to say Folding is more challenging on Linux than Windows that is for sure. For me it is all about .......
  15. Yeah they were super lackluster, I was only ever excited about last gen as I was waiting for certain games...the hardware did not excite me at all. Even though I doubt I will buy into this gen due to lack of time and I prefer PC gaming...I am excited about the specs. I also think it will help gaming overall especially when it comes to porting from Console to PC (Not that I am a fan of that).
  16. Certainly a jump this gen, the same for the XBox Series X. Though looking at the new Xbox specs, it does edge out the new PS4. I think they took this gen very seriously and wanted to be on top, its not by a huge margin but I think they can claim the crown.
  17. Sounds like it will end up in the next S range of their phones. Very impressive though that is for sure.
  18. Ha...oh right lol. Well all things considered I think the added layer of security will be worth the cost (Assuming we can implement it in a satisfactory manner)
  19. No cons so far as I am aware, so long as you have your backup codes should your phone die etc lol It would only be an optional thing for members, not mandatory
  20. Yeah, if we were to go for it, it would be via an App, likely Google Authenticator.
  21. FireFall was the last FPS/MMO/RPG I truly for into, Destiny 2 hasn't quite filled that void yet. But a lot of the original developers of FireFall have moved on to create a new game called Em8er that looks pretty damn promising, hoping they continue getting enough support to make it a reality. MineCraft is definitely a fun time sink though, either explore, or build massive creations alone or as a group, or try to beet the "bosses" with as little equipment as possible. I never actually played destiny ! I know...naughty me. Will have to give it a blast sometime. Yeah MC is interesting as you can approach it from several ways depending on your fancy which I think has certainly lent itself to its longevity.
  22. Ohhhhh Nice ! I will have to get MC again and delve in. Admittedly I am more of an FPS kinda guy but I certainly enjoy a little MC.
