  1. I hear you. Luckily I have several jobs and work two of those from home so its not too difficult for me but the day job does entail more routing, so that has to be enforced when working at home during lockdown too. It is very easy to fall out of routine if you are not careful, so I just do the same things when getting ready for work but instead of commuting to the office I just walk over to my PC lol. Looks like you have a little bit of snow going on there, where about are you situated ? My free time is still spent mainly in front of the PC as sad as that may sound, either with catching up with the other jobs or working on this site. I do make time to go for walks etc and go out, especially now when we are all stuck indoors. Today however I am going to do a little benching to add some scores to our HWBOT team etc now that I have some free time to do so.
  2. I still need to tweak some weird setting in order to get a proper score for Noir with my sig system as it is still too low for what it is. Currently around 7300+ points. I will also be benching tomorrow to add to our new HWBOT TEAM, Feel free to do the same if you want.
  3. Interesting, but a 40% leap in a single generation seems rather steep.
  4. Yeah you can always test these things by swapping things out. You can try it in the Chipset controlled PCIe and then compare it when it a CPU controlled PCIe.
  5. Hang on a bloody min.....that mash to the top left has been cut and paste into the image........
  6. Holy crap, that is some serious horsepower....you cannot deny that people are coming together to fight this thing which is great !
  7. I can pop these in the OP for sure, however have you published these to the web ? Otherwise the embedding does not work. Take a look here: https://support.google.com/docs/answ...DDesktop&hl=en When you have done it for each sheet I can embed them in the OP :music_rock:
  8. Running a Plex server myself, I can tell you that the encode/decode performance will not be affected if the GPU is in a slot assigned to the chipset. I have never had any problems, lets put it that way. If there is a performance hit, then I can say with confident you would only see it on paper and nothing that would cause you any particular performance degradation:)
  9. Hey bud, I have a X570 Board, if it was a GPU question I would likely have been able to answer but it pertains to a Network Card. So we know that the Chipset lanes will inherently have some additional latency to them if you are comparing against CPU lanes BUT playing devils advocate here. We all know that latency issues when running something like a GPU or Multi-GPU has been known to be an issue if you are using a PCIE slot assigned to a CPU and the other to the Chipset. As we know GPU's are fairly sensitive to latency. HOWEVER, there is no doubt your 10G card will work fine in a slot assigned to the Chipset. I would say that any slight increase in latency from using a slot assigned to the Chipset is going to un-noticeable. Sure on paper there may be an ever slight performance issues (Possibly none at all due to the type of data traffic involved) but I cannot see it having a performance hit. Not to the point where you are like "Dude my network is so slow" I personally think you will be fine assuming that after your entire config including the M.2 drives will leave you adequate lanes to run the card at its full potential.
  10. Yeah I should have done that, I was working so did not really think about it lol Isn't everyone ! lol
  11. Well it would certainly be awesome to have those guys with us, this year assuming it does not punish me any more, I will look to host a benching comp with prizes etc, It would be a lot of fun.
  12. Hey bud, What kind of HWBOT thread would you like to make ? Haha yeah must not be many HWBOT teams in the UK. I will start to look at getting peeps setup on HWBOT soon, I will PM you on that soon As for folding that is great, folding in Windows is certainly more straight forward than Linux in general full stop I think, but I know there is a slight points advantage to folding in linux.
  13. We are no longer friends In all honesty though I have not had a WU come my way in a little while lol.
  14. Nice ! Thanks for joining, I will do some submissions over the weekend myself. Will also get the formal thread out soon too. I remember those from back in the day. We will do prizes as well as time moved on, but right now still fleshing out the site and with Covid19 and my impending pay reduction I have to be a little more careful with the funds lol.
  15. Hello all, So our motto is ''Pushing It To The Limit'', so surely we would need to be doing just that! With that in mind we are now apart of the HWBOT family. You can take a look at our Team Page to see our progress. We would love you to join our team and contribute, to find out more on how to do so, please see below. What is HWBOT Source: https://hwbot.org/news/27_what_is_hwbot How to Join HWBOT & Join Team ExtremeHW Register with HWBOT: Registration When registering please try and keep your HWBOT username the same as you ExtremeHW username. This is not essential but makes our own internal validation easier. Next during registration you will see a section called "Join Team" from the drop down select ExtremeHW Alternatively if you already have a HWBOT account and would like to switch to our team go to your profile settings Scroll down to ''Teams'' and from the "Join Team" dropdown, select ExtremeHW How to submit a score There are two methods of submitting a score to HWBOT 1. Submit a score for the appropriate benchmark through there Submission Page 2. You can use Benchmate which is a score validation and upload tool which we recommend as you can validate and upload your results directly into HWBOT in one go. The other great thing about Benchmate is it comes bundles with some of the most relevant benchmarks available. It can be your one stop shop.
  16. Well it will pay to stay home and out of the way. The government have shut things down here so I will be working from home....however that being said I am so wanting to get Doom Eternal, looks awesome and I loved Doom 2016. The only thing is I am not sure I can justify the price tag on it haha.
  17. Number are numbers....benching is benching. We will be happy to have your submissions
  18. Yeah they certainly are. I have only just received another two WU's to work on.
  19. I think I can see which way this vote is going
  20. Strange, I wonder why that would be a Linux thing ?
  21. Unfortunately its times like these where you also see some of the worst humanity has to offer, it is just scumbag behavior !
  22. For sure, hardware has excelled hugely since the day where 1million points was a huge thing. We are certainly thinking of adding awards to the site but they will certainly be different from other sites so that they are more with the times.
