  1. I would be surprised if it didn't support a 16Gb Module. Depending on the memory controller, it may downclock the modules speed if needed but the actual size of the module should be fine. Lots of manufacturers do not update their system specifications after being published, so when they state that the maximum is say 8GB, that just means what capacity they tested the machine with at that time. I am fairly confident that a larger DDR3L module will be fine. However before trying, Update the laptop to its latest BIOS as its likely over time they have added better memory compatibility since launch.
  2. Happy Holidays to all on this fine day. You may be excused from the site to spend time with your family. Your 24 hours start, NOW
  3. Nice! Out of interest, why is it your favourite?
  4. Hello all. I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a happy holiday period and a happy new year. I hope you will all be able to relax during this time and get suitably (but safely) merry. 2022 has been a big year so far as getting the site where it needs to be from a software perspective. We still have lots of work to do to attract more people to the site, which will be one of the primary focuses for next year. Another focus will be trying to make the competitions more enticing so far as prizing, if not on an a monthly basis, then semi regular. Lastly, Site ads. Due to my schedule it has been hard to focus on getting ads set up correctly. They were working during a test period a while ago, but need to investigate the issue. With the ads active, this will hopefully increase site revenue which can be put towards competition prizing or other site ventures. 2023 will no doubt be an exciting year and im looking forward to taking the community further with your help! A huge thanks to all the staff and users who help to run the events and review programmes, without you, we would be lost. So a special thank you to you all. Have fun an stay safe! E P.s, don't forget to show off any techy stuff you get!

    Best 4090?

All I can comment on is I avoid Gigabyte since the 2080Ti whereby the weight of the card caused it to flex and the fans would bind in some form unless the card was really supported. That being said, they may have overcome the issue. I would focus on seeing if the power delivery system is better on any one of these models as it will aid in Overclocking should that be something you look at. Check out the reviews for each GPU as they will likely comment on the power system. Are you using stock cooling or putting under WC ? If using stock cooler, I would opt for one with the largest cooler (if you can fit it) as these boys will get toasty.
  6. I assume the drive works just fine on another PC ? Just to be sure, it's not coming up with an I/O error is it ? Worth a check, though I would be surprised as you have to enrol a drive in TPM.
  7. Is this denial coming when trying to access the drive as a whole (root directory) or when trying to access data on the drives ?
  8. 9 isn't bad at all, would be awesome to get some 4090's running but thats a pipe dream lol. Plus not only do you need the GPU but likely better PSU's too lol.
  9. Have you fixed your DISM ? Then tried to install ? Also I would try to install it via Windows Features as opposed to through CMD as I know it will download all the required components prior to installing. Applies to Win 11
  10. Oh fair enough. How many GPU'S in total do you have actively folding?
  11. If I had a cool office I would leave my 3090 folding. Perhaps I should leave it folding, open the door and let it heat up the house
  12. Oh so you swapping GPU's out of other rigs into these others then?
  13. Ha,If I had more GPU's to send, I so would lol.
  14. Really interesting, so many applications but one would how it would be with preciseness. Such as if you were to draw something to scale, possibly a technical design. Would it be able to replicate the proportions correctly.
  15. With it being the first Chiplet like design, whether it was a technical or time hurdle, im not surprised that things didn't go without a hitch. Fingers crossed its lessens learned for next gen. Innovation usually comes with some deficit.
  16. Glad you like it guys. I Decided to make it a little more comprehensive as the information on the widget is essentially already worked out and available, so decided to scrape more
  17. Hello all, I am very pleased to announce that the HWBOT widget is now live and on the homepage. A huge thanks to @A Zayedfor knocking this one out of the park. Hope you guys like it E
  18. Fairly impressive. Hopefully the sale goes through just fine.
  19. It has surpassed my 10.5K prediction !

  21. That is great news, someone needed to step in and change this. Hopefully this will also apply to other regions as well at some point now the precedent has been set.
  22. So after conversation with the powers that be at HWBOT, the no longer maintain their API. So that route is a no go, however there is a way to scrape what is required via HTML directly from the site, but it is more complicated that the API route, so I have @A Zayedtaking a look into it to see what is possible. Thanks guys, E
