  1. current build status : terminally soft tubing until i can afford hardline
  2. the girlfriend constantly asks why mine goes off. the answer is usually 2 things : 1. my family bothering me for mundane and repetitive simple explanation tech questions ( i swear when i move away after college theyll all be screwed ) 2, EHW notifications, in which the reply is "why do you monitor a computer forum" my answer is "because they are better brothers than my actual one" lol
  3. ill always be around for support dude, i will also make sure you dont do anything silly.
  4. i think it would be nice to have not just to not be spammed, but so we can look kind of "official" in a sense if we ever plan events or anything with hardware/software sponsors. but thats more from a staff perspective i guess...
  5. I'm in college of course. for IT Engineering. my last 3 courses have involved SQL server. after 4 months of it i hope i dont see another SQL server for at least a year. maybe longer. every backup or replication process seems to break itself after it does it successfully time after time for weeks.
  6. if you want more of a fun learning experience, i'd suggest an Ender 3 V2 or something from creality, they have larger models depending on the size of things you want to make, the one im currently working with and modding is an ender 3 V2 in that picture. prusa's have a rather pain in the butt slicing software for models that bugs out constantly, and the community is much smaller if you need help with things
  7. the picture at the top of the post is the name you search for on rusts server finder, it should be one of like 3 results, ill add a direct IP and port shortly for those who have trouble.
  8. i could use it as a non-spammed personal email. my 20 year old hotmail inbox has an influx of about 200 spam emails a day .
  9. not all machine will accept this conversion, and it can be quite dangerous aswell. ive seen on forums where people have had parts fall off during CNC runs and injure themselves if you want to know more let me know, ive been playing with these for a bit, cheap ones are fun, but ive moved up to mid range now
  10. -tapes tinfoil hat ontop of his head- now sit in the corner with your windows dual boot machine like a good boy i dont think theres enough trust in W11 to try dual boot yet with all the issues it still has.
  11. absolutely, i figured why not have something we can enjoy together and build a decent server out of, the game has a bit of a learning curve thats for sure. but if you like challenges itll provide them
  12. sadly no, its a 3D printer with a modified shroud that i 3D printed for increased cooling airflow, the filament is coming in from the left into the extruder in the back, you cant really see it because its grey. that clamp you see is for the flexible LED light over the build table also the small grey box on the left USB connected to the printer is a raspberry Pi 4 with octoprint server on it in a custom 2020 railmount case, so i can send print files and let it run with my pc shut off at night the printers actual power switch is on the back. long winded midnight explanation XD

  14. i raise your pile of computer parts with this!
  15. at least they got ontop of it when someone told them about it. kudos AMD.
  16. i have compliling a list of important points block, please stand by
  17. nevermind, turns out it was a bad gcode file
  18. i recently got a CR touch and updated the firmware accordingly, i'm on a 4.2.7 silent board i must have manually bed levelled about 5 times, run an auto level, then set the Z offset to where it just grabs on a piece of paper. i have consistent issues with the extruder grinding filament. ive go no idea why.
  19. @ENTERPRISE ill work on CPU's and GPU's then, though it may take me a bit EDIT: PM'd
  20. @AvacadoDude, i'm already staff and a game reviewer, i think double dipping may be illegal. im not sure on the rules.
  21. in all honesty, my prints arent interesting yet... mostle upgrade parts for the printer still, in the middle of a setsana duct atm
  22. my poor little ender 3 V2. unconfigured, new out of box and instantly give the benchy tugboat
  23. i still say let at least the first 5 generations intel i3/i5/i7 of CPUs go RIP along with AMDs older models. if you're still on one your waaaay past your upgrade mark and need to actually do it. microsoft is doing this more to force big corperations to upgrade than anything. hell when i worked in LGs warehouse 2 years ago they were still just STARTING to upgrade old core2quad systems with windows XP still running. company upgraded tech adoption is abysmal, doing this forces it upon them if they want OS security. in personal opinion that is of course. i'm not sure if thats the end game but it seems like it
